Atmos/Stereo Mixing/Mastering

Tim Burns on SoundBetter

I'm an engineer who has worked with artists including Lana Del Rey, Dua Lipa, Ellie Goulding, DJ Shadow and labels such as Universal, Warner Bros, Sony, RCA, Polydor, Decca, Mass Appeal, Interscope, Mute, Virgin, EMI, Odd Child and Legere…

I still mix/master stereo but I'm currently specialising in Atmos, working from Tap Mgmt's stunning 9.1.4 PMC/Grace Designs Atmos room in Tileyard, London. I've worked with Tap Mgmt for over 8 years.
If you're based in London, you can easily come in for a playback.

I have over 25 years of professional experience, covering most genres from pop, guitar bands, electronic and classical. I've worked as an engineer, producer, writer and musician, so I know the process, from bottom to top. I've worked with major label acts and love working with indie labels/upcoming artists/producers/mixers.

I can deliver simultaneous Atmos and stereo (as well as 7.1 and 5.1 mixes) - these can be derived from the main Atmos mix rather than start with stereo and 'up mix': It's a great way to cover all the bases, and it saves a lot of money.

I'm keen to build relationships with artists/producers/mixers who need a reliable Atmos engineer to work with.
If you're making Atmos on headphones, you'll need to run it through a proper Atmos room at some point and most likely have it mastered - this can be a really affordable way to get into Atmos mixing, and I'm happy to help with advice and feedback.

Prices vary widely depending on requirements - I'm approachable: Contact me and let's talk.

I guarantee my work, if you don't like - don't pay.
