Paige Duche

Singer Songwriter

Paige Duche on SoundBetter

Hi! I'm Paige. I am in a band called Lucy Daydream (Indie-Pop) and our songs have been featured in Netflix shows and Apple commercials. I also release music under my own name. I love experimenting with different genres and working with new people!

I've been singing and songwriting since I was a wee child. My mom put me into piano when I was 6 and ultimately music became my passion.

I can sing, songwrite, create the melodies! I have an audio technica mic and a focusrite and record my vocals through Ableton.

My vocal range is around F3-A4. Sometimes higher if it's a good day.

I have worked on many different genres from EDM, to rap, to very soft indie, to country! And I love it all, and am happy to do it all.

Tell me about your project and how I can help, through the 'Contact' button above.

Interview with Paige Duche

  1. Q: Tell us about a project you worked on you are especially proud of and why. What was your role?

  2. A: Lucy Daydream is my band and it is my baby! That is the first project I have ever done professionally and have seen so much success with. I am the singer songwriter of the band. We have had our songs in Netflix shows and even an Apple commercial. I am so proud of everything I have created in that band thus far.

  3. Q: What are you working on at the moment?

  4. A: I am working on releasing a bunch of my own music and just having fun playing around with a bunch of different genres without putting pressure on myself to have a specific sound.

  5. Q: What questions do you ask prospective clients?

  6. A: I always want to get their input on what they feel the song is about so I can branch off of that. I feel when you are working with someone else it should be a pretty equal collab. So asking if they already have melodies in mind, a specific vision, anything that can guide me when I am writing I always find very helpful for both parties! Sometimes the client just wants me to take full creative control which I also love!

  7. Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?

  8. A: I have always been doing music! My mom put me into piano when I was 6 and almost every day since then I have either been singing, playing piano, or writing. I met my band partner when I was a senior in highschool, I did not go to college. I have dabbled in other paths like video editing, photography, other things in the art field and I very much enjoy those, but music is definitely my passion.

  9. Q: How would you describe your style?

  10. A: Soft and indie, but can go a little harder if needed, hahah

  11. Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?

  12. A: Glass Animals! I think they are so unique and I've been following them since they released their first album

  13. Q: What type of music do you usually work on?

  14. A: I typically do indie pop, singer songwriter, chill vibe music

  15. Q: What's your strongest skill?

  16. A: My strongest skill is being able to sing and write the lyrics and melodies all at once. I don't like to sit on things, I know exactly what I want to do when I hear a beat and I do not question it.

  17. Q: What do you bring to a song?

  18. A: I believe I bring a sense of emotion and rawness to the song. When I write, it is usually always about my personal life so when singing about it, you can feel what I am feeling. I have a softer voice and I am a shyer person so I believe many people connect with that.

  19. Q: What's your typical work process?

  20. A: If I'm working with someone, typically I get sent the beat, then from there immediately start writing. It usually just comes to me, I'll get the melody down and usually have a certain feel for what the song is about so I throw in a few lyrics here in there and then piece the rest together after jotting it down. From there I sent the demo back, see what my partner wants changed, and go from there!

  21. Q: Tell us about your studio setup.

  22. A: I record my vocals through an audio-technica mic that runs through a focusrite scarlett solo. I use Ableton for all my needs.

  23. Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?

  24. A: Glass Animals, Twenty One Pilots, Aurora, NF

  25. Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.

  26. A: Any type of song that needs softer vocals, I'm there. As for songwriting, I do anywhere from love songs, to mental health, to heartbroken.

I can have vocals, lyrics, melodies to you within a week.
Revisions are fine, just like to keep them to a minimum, I am a perfectionist myself, but constantly picking at something ruins it!
