Interview with Emilio Pasquini
Q: Tell us about a project you worked on you are especially proud of and why. What was your role?
A: I worked for many years recording and playing Argentine folklore and also playing jazz. My role was highly respected and compensated by my manager and my co-workers.
Q: What are you working on at the moment?
A: Now I'm in an experimental rock trio called Viernes Deformes (or Deformed Fridays) and producing an R&B album.
Q: Is there anyone on SoundBetter you know and would recommend to your clients?
A: Maybe!
Q: Analog or digital and why?
A: They both have their own thing.
Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?
A: I have no false promises, my work is honest and it is also a joint effort to define what they need and what I can generate through my Bass
Q: What do you like most about your job?
A: precisely...my job.
Q: What questions do customers most commonly ask you? What's your answer?
A: They ask where I'm from, what equipment I have, if I can charge them cheaper. I try to be fair with them and with me.
Q: What's the biggest misconception about what you do?
A: I wish to always rise to the occasion.
Q: What questions do you ask prospective clients?
A: What they look for when they make music. What inspires them and if they write lyrics, whether they are real stories or not.
Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?
A: Try to clearly specify what you want to say in a song so that I can enhance your work and trust me.
Q: If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?
A: Electricity, a bass, a guitar and a speaker, (an audience, water)
Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?
A: I have been playing bass since I was 12 years old and I have dedicated my entire life to music, finishing specific degrees in electric bass, double bass, guitar and sound.
Q: How would you describe your style?
A: I am very versatile, concrete and clear when it comes to composing and producing.
Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?
A: I would like to work with artists who are committed to their work, mine, and who know artistically where they want to go.
Q: Can you share one music production tip?
A: identify myself with the song to create a bass line with total identity.
Q: What type of music do you usually work on?
A: all the music that comes to me.
Q: What's your strongest skill?
A: Pre-produce, produce and post-produce recordings. Record basses, upright bass and guitars.
Q: What do you bring to a song?
A: Know the music and the song in an artistic way, know where that music is going and leave a bass line with a unique stamp.
Q: What's your typical work process?
A: I seek to have complete knowledge of the music I must record to produce a bass line or several in detail. adjust my instruments and audio looking for a bass line that gives identity to the song.

A: I have a high-quality audio set for recording and mixing, home studio or mobile studio.

Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.
A: Composing and producing music, bass lines composed specifically for each song, searching for the right audio and the right playing.
