I’ve been producing, mixing, and mastering music for nearly 4 years and play 5+ instruments (Piano, Guitar, Drums, Bass, Ukulele, Kalimba, Mandolin etc). I can take your music from a demo to a radio hit.
Hey, I’m Isaac. I'm a multi-instrumentalist with a passion for mixing, mastering, producing, and anything else related to music. I can mix and master your song to perfection, provide full production services, and play pretty much any instrument. I’ve taken recording/mixing classes with Grammy winning engineer Phil Allen (Adele, Aerosmith, P!nk). I will work on your song until it is perfect, and make sure it sounds like YOU want it to.

Interview with Isaac Robinson
Q: What are you working on at the moment?
A: Lately I’ve been working on mixing some chill reggae tracks, and I’ve been enjoying it a lot!
Q: What questions do customers most commonly ask you? What's your answer?
A: I often get asked for free demos, instrumental/acappela versions, revisions, etc. My answer is always YES!
Q: What questions do you ask prospective clients?
A: I always ask clients for a reference track - it really helps me understand what vibe they’re going for with their song
Q: Tell us about your studio setup.
A: I mix through a set of JBL 306p monitors paired with a sub. My room is acoustically treated and calibrated (took a lot of work) and I also check my mixes on my Philips fidelio X2HR headphones. I also have a bunch of instruments I use for recording/producing and a Shure sm7b mic
Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?
A: I promise to keep working until your satisfied - that means unlimited revisions, and no excuses
Q: What do you like most about your job?
A: The most enjoyable part of mixing for me is delivering the finished product and seeing how excited clients get - it’s pretty cool when they see their demo turn into a finished song
Q: What's the biggest misconception about what you do?
A: I’m not a magician - I can make a decently recorded song sound really good, but if it wasn’t recorded well, there’s only so much you can fix in the mixing stage.
Q: If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?
A: I would definitely bring my laptop, mixing headphones, and then my arturia keylab keyboard, guitar, and drum kit.
Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?
A: I’m excited to work with any artist who is passionate about their music. I especially like mixing groovy, kinda funky tracks.
Q: Analog or digital and why?
A: I prefer digital for the ease of use - however, I completely understand why some people like analog gear - it’s just a different feeling to physically turn the knob to dial in the sound.
Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?
A: I’d say make sure you’re to a point where you have a decent sounding demo - decently recorded tracks, no big technical issues. Also, I prefer to have vocals sent to me without reverb/delay - that way I can dial it in myself after I’ve mixed everything.
Q: What type of music do you usually work on?
A: I typically work with pop, indie rock, and pop rock type songs. Although I also have experience with some reggae and modern RnB
Q: Can you share one music production tip?
A: Always listen to the changes you’re making, and feel the music while you’re producing. It’s easy to focus too much on the technical details and kill the vibe in the process.
Q: What's your typical work process?
A: A key part of my work process is making sure that my client is involved in what I’m doing, so that their project comes out the way they want it to. That’s why I offer unlimited revisions. I will send you updates and previews on your project so you can tell me what’s sounding good and what I should change. Most artists I know have a clear vision of what they want their project to sound like, but often that vision gets lost when they involve other people in it. My goal is to keep your vision 100% while making it sound the best it can.
Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.
A: Most of the work I’ve done so far includes everything that’s involved in taking a song from an idea to a finished product. Often I’ll start from a song idea with lyrics and chords and handle all the recording, production, and mixing to get it polished and radio ready. I can also help with songwriting, podcast editing and production, mix checks, and more.
