Rachel Potter, now residing in Nashville, hails from St. Petersburg Florida. Her musical influences range from her rock-n-roll parents, her Baptist church upbringing, and her classical vocal training. She began as a Christian recording artist, releasing her first album when she was 15. While attending the University of Central a Florida, she performed at Walt Disney World in multiple roles including Ariel, Belle and Nemo. Following graduation, she moved to New York City to pursue her musical theater career. She starred on Broadway in NYC in The Addams Family, as "Wednesday,' Evita, as the "Mistress," and as "Glinda" in Wicked.
Rachel always had a love for country music, and in 2013 she moved to Nashville, TN. She recorded and released her debut EP, "Live The Dream," in 2012 which showcased her country roots.
Potter went on to become a Top 12 finalist on season three of The X Factor, earning international praise for her country rendition of Queen's "Somebody to Love." Her take on the classic tune, which has now reached over 32 million views on YouTube, is featured on her album, Not So Black and White. She is the the lead singer of country trio, Steel Union in Nashville. She also has had many pop successes with acapella groups VoicePlay and Voctave.
