My name is Coenie and i would like to offer my expertise for mixing your tracks. I have produced several soulful house and deep house tracks including full vocal arrangements. I am offering my expertise to anybody who is struggling to get his mix in balance and stand out the way they want. I work mainly with plugins from companies like Universal Audio, Waves, Sonnox, Soundtoys and Fabfilter and use the 8 outputs of my Apogee Ensemble for AD/DA Conversion and as an input for my Dangerous Music D-Box for analog summing.

Q: Analog or digital and why?
A: Both! Without the digital era i wouldn't/ couldn't be doing what i am doing right now. It would have taken me ages to come to the point where i am now. With all software available (DAW's Plugins etc) you have a professional studio without a €.40.000,- console.......But that said, the Analog sound really gives the right polish , depth and punch. Therefore i take all my mixes out of the box into my D-Box and let the copper do the summing instead of my computer crunching numbers.
Q: What do you like most about your job?
A: Working with talented people who express themselves through music !
Q: If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?
A: 1. A laptop (including all my software), 2. Apogee Ensemble, 3. Dangerous D-Box, 4. VXT6 Monitors and 5. a power generator to have it all work :-)
Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?
A: After being a DJ for more than 20 years i have always had the idea of making my own music. With my experience as a DJ i know what a dance floor needs. Back in 2007 i started with it and with the help of friends, courses and mostly my will to succeed i am where i am today. Right now i am able to create produce, mix and master my tracks so that they are ready to release.
Q: What type of music do you usually work on?
A: I have mainly worked on dance-music, and specially in the soulful, jazzy and deep house genre. I have produced several tracks with singers and live-musicians.
Q: Tell us about your studio setup.
A: I work mainly in the box with Logic (recently Logic X and before that other versions) I use plugins from several manufacturers like Universal Audio, Waves, Native Instruments, Soundtoys, Slate, Fabfilter and Sonnox. I sum all my mixes out of the box via my Dangerous Music D-Box which is an 8-channel summing box and monitor controller. Monitor speakers i use are 2 KRK VXT6 and JBL Control 1 and a Sennheiser HD650 for reference. My AD/DA conversion is being taken care of by my Apogee Ensemble and D-Box (DA only).
Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?
A: I like live instrumentation. Productions with an organic feel.
Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.
A: Most work i have done for clients is remixing one of their songs. Also clients come to me to mix down their track and have it ready for mastering. Occasionally i do mastering for them as well.

- How to deliver your track for a mix-sessionAug 29, 2015
Export all your tracks as separate audio files. make sure to export them from start to the end of the track.Export all audio tracks as Wave or AIFF-files, 24bit in a 44.100hz sample rate.Make a folder, zip them and upload the zip-file to Wetransfer or Dropbox. Switch off the Dither function.Here are some examples:
