Ive worked for years doing over 1000 custom vocal recordings for hire. Its allowed me to become very efficient with my vocal production and recording. Can provide a general 72 hour turnaround. Love stacking harmonies if thats something you’d like included in your production.

Interview with Charlie Greene (Betcha)
Q: Tell us about a project you worked on you are especially proud of and why. What was your role?
A: Gotta go with the debut album "Placebo" for my band Betcha. We decided to do it completely independent after leaving Atlantic Records. It was such a massive undertaking doing 14 songs but so worth it in the end.
Q: What do you like most about your job?
A: I love feeling like im doing something purposeful. Music has the ability to do so much good in the world and I love creating it everyday.
Q: What's the biggest misconception about what you do?
A: That its all a gift and flows naturally. It really takes a lot of hard work and patience to get everything just right. Ive been growing my craft for almost a decade.
Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?
A: The more information the better. Feel free to overshare what it is you're looking for. Build your reference playlists and the backstory so I can get us right to the promise land.
Q: If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?
A: Midi Keyboard, Martin Guitar, Logic Pro, Manley Reference Microphone, Audio Technica Headphones
Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?
A: I went to Belmont University in Nashville TN for music business in the fall of 2014. Once there I immediately started immersing myself in production and playing live. Since then ive toured all over the world with my music and worked with hundreds of different artists.
Q: How would you describe your style?
A: It's all about the song first. Then let's make it one of kind.
Q: Can you share one music production tip?
A: I love to send a lot of my common effectsthrough a "bus". Typically when a track gets pretty big it can get very washy very quickly with reverb and delay. Instead of manually going through each track, I like to control the effects for all channels in one place.
Q: What's your strongest skill?
A: Definitely Hooks & Melody. Im all about finding that part of a song thats gonna get stuck in people's head forever. I think Im also great and bringing out others strengths. I love making things that change my collaborators perspectives on what they're capable of.
Q: What are you working on at the moment?
A: Im collaborating with tons of Nashville artists on their own music- producing, co-writing, recording, etc. Im always working on my own artist projects and currently writing my next full-length record.
Q: Analog or digital and why?
A: Digital- I just love stretching/bending sounds in ways that wouldn't be possible without plugins. You literally have any sound imaginable at your fingertips and all you gotta do is start digging!
Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?
A: Id love to work with Bon Iver. He's such a collaborative artist already, and is always evolving his sound. It feels like a space where anything could fly. Thats the kind of energy and creative process I love.
Q: What type of music do you usually work on?
A: Ive been fronting an indie rock band, Betcha, o
Q: Tell us about your studio setup.
A: Ive got a studio setup in Nashville TN (music city baby) with a Wurlitzer baby grand and plethora of guitars and keyboards as well as vocal mics and a full DAW setup in Logic X Pro.
Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?
A: Im most geared towards songwriter but love production and finding creative ways to bring the song to life.
Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.
A: Most commonly I am tracking toppling vocals that Ive written melody/lyrics for.
