Writer of unique lyrics, poetry and song for pop, indie and folk.
I'm an independent DIY Musician and solo artist with over twenty years of experience writing and performing songs. My songwriting speaks for itself so I would encourage you to listen to my music before anything else. I'm seeking clients who resonate with the style of lyrics I write and who's own artistic vision is one that is thoughtful and meaningful.

Interview with Kyle Parsons
Q: Tell us about a project you worked on you are especially proud of and why. What was your role?
A: Harley and I created a production for a song called "Opium" where I was the songwriter and artist. It was my first collaboration and it opened my eyes to the power of letting go of creative control and finding the magic in sharing art with others.
Q: What are you working on at the moment?
A: A new single for my solo project.
Q: Is there anyone on SoundBetter you know and would recommend to your clients?
A: Yes. Harley Eblen and Eliott Glinn
Q: Analog or digital and why?
A: Digital. I love analogue but as a DIY artist digital has given me access to so many powerful tools.
Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?
A: We'll create something that really communicates the feelings and emotions that they want to share through their music.
Q: What do you like most about your job?
A: Honestly all of it.
Q: What questions do customers most commonly ask you? What's your answer?
A: People often (and rightly) want to know what music I'm listening to, to see if my taste matches up with theirs. I think this is a great question, I often name a few artists but I think it's important to have time away from musical influence to let your own heart tell you what you'd like to create.
Q: What questions do you ask prospective clients?
A: Who is your audience? What do you want the song to say and how do you want the song to say it?
Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?
A: Find someone relatable and who's artistic vision and sensibility is the best fit for you.
Q: How would you describe your style?
A: Heartfelt and emotive.
Q: What type of music do you usually work on?
A: Acoustic, singer-songwriter, folk, Indie Folk.
Q: What's your strongest skill?
A: Lyrical integrity
Q: What do you bring to a song?
A: Emotion, narrative structure and imagery.
Q: What's your typical work process?
A: I can create a song from a brief or I can help you bring some of your ideas to a completed song.
Q: Tell us about your studio setup.
A: I use studio one (DAW), record vocals and acoustic guitar with a Neuman TLM-102 and SM57
Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?
A: Anyone who is willing to pursue their passion for music is a source of inspiration for me.
Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.
A: I'm an acoustic songwriter, so I'll work with you to create structured songs, lyrics, melody, harmonic movement and rhythm.
