Unlocking the potential of your raw creativity: Turning rough diamonds into polished gems, no matter the level of equipment you're working with. If you need velvety vocals on your track, or you want to elevate the mixes of your demos, you are welcome to reach out. Let's work!
I'm an R&B/jazz singer/songwriter, producer and audio engineer. Artists like to work with me when they have limited equipment and need someone who's used to pushing the envelope when it comes to mixing or producing. With 10 years of experience in the industry, I've grown very passionate about helping aspiring artists get their work out into the world, despite the fact that they feel restricted by not having the most expensive studio setups. Yes, even if you recorded your vocals with Apple headphones, I can work with that (listen to my audio sample on my profile for reference)! Your music deserves to be shared with the world! Let me know what your budget is and we can get to work!

Endorse Avah CocoInterview with Avah Coco
Q: Analog or digital and why?
A: Digital. I like the control and transparency.
Q: What do you like most about your job?
A: What I like most about my job is collaborating with artists who started out just like me — limited equipment but a burning passion for music.
Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?
A: Don't be discouraged by artists' crazy audio setups. You can still make hits!
Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?
A: I started writing music and playing guitar as an adolescent. In 2012 I studied Independent Music Production at Seneca College, where I learned the ins and outs of ProTools. After graduation, I started experimenting with electronic music for a couple years, then in 2015 my sound started to shift back to my R&B/Jazz roots. I've always been self-producing and self-engineering, then I started to meet newer aspiring artists who needed collaborators to polish their songs.
Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?
A: I would love to work with Doja Cat because we both started out in similar ways. We're both self producers who emerged in the Soundcloud Era with a computer and a dream!
Q: What type of music do you usually work on?
A: I usually work on Hip-Hop, Jazz, and R&B/Soul
Q: What's your strongest skill?
A: My strongest skill is bringing out the potential in an artist's raw recording. I'm also great at encouraging artists to grow and elevate their craft.
Q: What's your typical work process?
A: I start my work process by finding out the client's vision for their song — what inspired it, what they plan to do with it, what they want it to sound like and I apply my skills to make it come to fruition!
Q: Tell us about your studio setup.
A: I work off my Macbook Pro, using a Steinberg UR22 MKII interface, ProTools 10 and Audiotechnica monitoring headphones.
Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.
A: I work with clients who have limited access to studio equipment.
