Interview with ÁNGEL!
Q: Tell us about a project you worked on you are especially proud of and why. What was your role?
A: One project I’m especially proud of was my recent album release, where I acted as the singer, producer, mixer, and mastering engineer. I handled everything — from recording all the instruments to shaping the final sound. What makes it special is how every detail reflects my vision and emotion, and how the music connected with people on a deep level. It was a full creative journey that showed what’s possible when passion and skill come together.
Q: What are you working on at the moment?
A: Right now I’m focused on finishing my next music releases while also producing, mixing, and mastering tracks for other artists. I’m blending genres like Rock, Pop, EDM, Country, Latin, Tropical, and Trap to push my sound further and help others bring their songs to life.
Q: Is there anyone on SoundBetter you know and would recommend to your clients?
A: There are many amazing talents on SoundBetter, but honestly, I prefer to personally connect with every creative involved in a project. I believe in building a team based on chemistry, not just reputation. When the vibe is right, the results are unstoppable
Q: Analog or digital and why?
A: Both. Analog gives you that warmth, imperfection, and soul that makes music feel alive. Digital gives you precision, versatility, and speed. I love combining both — capturing the emotion of analog and the clarity of digital. That balance is where the magic happens.
Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?
A: My promise is that I’ll treat every project as if it were my own song — with passion, detail, and honesty. I’ll make sure your music not only sounds professional, but feels alive. Because what I do can’t be copied — it’s the touch of my own hand, the result of unique artists working together with one vision: to create something real.
Q: What do you like most about your job?
A: What I like most about my job is seeing that genuine spark in an artist’s eyes when they truly love their song — not out of politeness, but because it moves them. Since I’m also an artist, I know exactly how that feels, and reading that emotion is the best part of what I do
Q: What questions do customers most commonly ask you? What's your answer?
A: Most artists ask me what they need to send to start the project. My answer: just your raw tracks or demo — vocals, instruments, or even a simple voice note with your idea. I can build the full production from that. Of course, the more recorded tracks you already have, the better we can shape your final sound. The most important thing is your vision — I’ll take care of the rest.
Q: What's the biggest misconception about what you do?
A: The biggest misconception is thinking that mixing or mastering is just about adjusting frequencies. It’s not about lowering a sound — it’s about making the listener’s body feel what the artist wants to express. My job isn’t technical first; it’s emotional. I shape the sound so that the message hits not only the ears, but the soul.
Q: What questions do you ask prospective clients?
A: I always start by asking about their vision — what do they want people to feel when they hear the song? Then I ask about their musical references, the message behind the lyrics, and the kind of sound they’re chasing. I also like to know what inspired the song, because emotion guides everything. Once I understand that, I can bring their idea to life with clarity and heart.
Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?
A: Look for someone who listens to you — not just technically, but emotionally. A good producer doesn’t just mix your song; they understand your story and make it sound alive. Don’t hire someone who only wants to finish fast; hire someone who cares about making your music unforgettable. I treat every project like it’s my own — that’s the difference.
Q: If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?
A: If I were on a desert island, I’d take water, a notebook to write songs, a cooking pot, a ladder to grab coconuts… and of course, my phone. With just that, I can survive — and make music. Add a condenser mic and a guitar, and I’m set for life.
Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?
A: I’ve been making music since I was 5 years old. I started by teaching myself to play instruments, spending every free moment learning and creating. As I grew older, I even saved the money from my school lunches to buy my first pieces of equipment. Music has been my life ever since. Now, after years of passion and discipline, I work as a professional artist and producer — mixing emotion, sound, and storytelling into every project I touch
Q: How would you describe your style?
A: My style is emotional, cinematic, and powerful. I mix the raw energy of rock with the polish of pop and the depth of modern sound design. Every song I produce tells a story — it has heart, tension, and purpose. Whether it’s a ballad or an anthem, I aim for a sound that feels alive, honest, and unforgettable.
Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?
A: I’d love to work with artists like YUNGBLUD, HARRY STYLES, or ROSALIA — musicians who blend emotion with power. They don’t just sing; they tell stories that hit hard. I connect with that kind of honesty. My dream collaborations are with artists who chase truth in their sound, not trends — people who create music that outlives algorithms
Q: Can you share one music production tip?
A: Focus on emotion before perfection. A clean mix means nothing if the song doesn’t make you feel something. Always chase the vibe first — once you’ve captured that raw energy, then polish the details. That’s where real music lives: in emotion, not in over-editing.
Q: What type of music do you usually work on?
A: “I work across multiple genres because I love blending worlds — from Rock, Pop, and Country to EDM, Latin, Tropical, and Trap. My main focus is to make every song sound alive, no matter the style. I bring the raw emotion of rock, the polish of pop, and the modern punch of today’s sound. Whether it’s an intimate ballad or a stadium anthem, I make it hit hard and feel real.
Q: What's your strongest skill?
A: I bring both the technical precision of a producer and the emotional instinct of a singer. That combination allows me to understand what a song truly needs — not just sonically, but emotionally. As a music producer, mixing & mastering engineer, I shape clarity, punch, and professional depth. As a singer and artist, I make sure the song breathes, connects, and tells a story that moves people. My goal is always the same: to make every track sound alive, powerful, and full of soul — the way real music should feel.
Q: What do you bring to a song?
Q: What's your typical work process?
A: My process starts by carefully listening to the artist’s vision and reference tracks to understand the emotion and style behind the music. Then I organize and clean the session, balance levels, and build the mix step by step — enhancing clarity, punch, and space. Once the mix is complete, I move into mastering, where I refine the tone, loudness, and dynamics to ensure the song sounds competitive across all streaming platforms. Every project goes through multiple listening environments to guarantee a professional and powerful final result.
Q: Tell us about your studio setup.
A: My studio is equipped with top-tier gear designed for precision, warmth, and world-class sound. I work with Yamaha HS8 and Adam Audio monitors for accurate referencing, Universal Audio and SSL interfaces, and a full collection of analog compressors and EQs to add depth and character. I mix using Pro Tools and Logic Pro X, with industry-standard plugins from Waves, FabFilter, Slate Digital, and UAD. Every element of my setup — from acoustic treatment to monitoring — is optimized to deliver mixes and masters that sound powerful on any system, from headphones to stadium speakers.
Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?
A: I’m inspired by producers and mixers who blend emotion with technical perfection — like Chris Lord-Alge, Andrew Scheps, Jack Antonoff, and Finneas. They prove that mixing isn’t just about balance, it’s about storytelling through sound. I admire how each of them builds a unique sonic identity while keeping the soul of the artist alive in every track.
Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.
A: I mainly work on music production, mixing, and mastering for artists who want to sound professional, emotional, and powerful. My job is to take your raw recordings and transform them into radio and streaming-ready songs with clarity, warmth, and impact. Every project is treated with precision and passion to make your music stand out on a global level.
