Interview with Đukić Nikola

  1. Q: Tell us about a project you worked on you are especially proud of and why. What was your role?

  2. A: I am especially proud of the "Ingloria" project, which was very demanding because it contained poorly filmed parts and was very complicated. A lot of people tried to do it and in the end, only I managed to finish it to the end.

  3. Q: What are you working on at the moment?

  4. A: I'm currently working on a jazz project, it's an instrumental without vocals.

  5. Q: Analog or digital and why?

  6. A: I'm kind of an analog guy in a digital time. Why? Because analogy has a soul...

  7. Q: What do you like most about your job?

  8. A: I love the mixing process the most, I just love mixing. I love it. It fills me up every day. But apart from that, I am delighted to meet new people and make new colleagues and friends.

  9. Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?

  10. A: Considering my age and the fact that I am very young in the world of music, my path is still being built. I have been playing music since I was five years old, and I have been doing audio engineering for more than four years.

  11. Q: How would you describe your style?

  12. A: Old money definitely. It is my style in life, and it is also strongly expressed in my works.

  13. Q: What type of music do you usually work on?

  14. A: It's usually a rock or blues song, lately, I've also had a lot of pop songs

  15. Q: What's your strongest skill?

  16. A: It's a bit egotistical to say that for myself, clients who have worked with me can say that best. However, I think that my strongest skill is patience and a stable relationship with the client.

  17. Q: What do you bring to a song?

  18. A: The emotions

  19. Q: What's your typical work process?

  20. A: It depends on the difficulty and complexity of the project. The process is the most important element in making every item of life, the process is the secret

  21. Q: Tell us about your studio setup.

  22. A: I believe that the biggest and most expensive piece of equipment in any studio is the engineer's ear. In addition, I own a studio with excellent acoustics and excellent systems to get accurate and high-quality sound. The entire studio is equipped with high-quality equipment, and I would especially like to praise the comfort of the studio, which allows me to spend hours working and still feel rested as if I had just started working.

  23. Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?

  24. A: I have always liked to cultivate a way that is unique and not based on the rules of existing artists. But if it was someone behind the scenes, I would definitely say Tony Maserati or Rick Rubin.

  25. Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.

  26. A: The most common type of work I do is mixing. I often work on song mastering, but I spend most of my time mixing the sound.
