Endorse Sam CarlsonAlong with being a great player and a thoughtful friend, Sam is a whiz behind the gear! Several of my past releases (as That One Crocodile) have been mastered by Sam and they are wildly better for it. A light touch with a major impact makes the tunes pop and build a cohesive picture across whole projects. Who could ask for anything more?
Sam Carlson is the definition of professional and personable. When you go to San Serif you are immediately welcomed by a warm at home feeling, with an ever evolving cabinet of top quality industry equipment. Where Sam truly sets himself apart his the fact he is psychic. Ok maybe he’s not literally
Psychic but he might as well be. He adapts and reacts almost faster than your mind can communicate to him. The result a wonderful atmosphere that delivers high end results. This is the last and final place I’ll ever record musicSam is an all around talent. His knowledge and skills are unmatched. Book this man or else your music career will NEVER take offfffff
Ok top 3 reasons to work w Sam as a recording engineer/producer/mix engineer: #1 has to be his clear, concise, and easy way of communicating. The process moves fluidly, easily, and swiftly w Sam because he keeps you in the know and guides you along the way in clear and simple terms. #2 is his deep knowledge of Logic Pro - dude’s an expert. #3 is Sam is a gifted singer, songwriter, drummer, guitarist, and bassist himself who understands what you are doing musically (and he can prob do it better than you, but you’d never know because he’s humble). Book him!
Sam is a pleasure to work with. Extremely professional and responsive to messages. In the studio he ensures that you feel good and are in the best shape to record your work. Always accommodating, he even played bass for my band when we recorded with him. Honestly, one of the best experiences I've had in the studio.
Inhad a wonderful experience making my first two singles. Gotta Let You Go and A Future Fading Both times itvwas a quick and easy process and both songs came out better than I hoped! Planning on going back this year to record a full album! Went into the studio without a drummer but Sam laid it down perfectly and quickly! 10/10 recommend! Also Patrick did my master. Kept it all in house and sounds fantastic!!!
Sam is a rare find! He know exactly how hard to press the gas pedal to keep the process in gear without ever crossing the center line. He keeps the flow in a measured non stressful positive patient friendly way! And he's secretly really fast, talented and intuitive. We've done 2 projects I'm so proud of and grateful for the Sans Serif songs in my catalog!
