Hey my name is Eric! I'm a songwriter, music producer, engineer, and session guitar player based in Los Angeles. I've worked with production and engineer professionals from Adam Hawkins (Machine Gun Kelly, grandson, Twenty One Pilots) to Jack Joseph Puig (John Mayer, The Black Crowes, Weezer). I can make your music dreams come true!
I'm offering music production, mixing, songwriting, session guitarist, and vocalist services for artists that are in need!
I have a full studio based in the Hollywood Hills which is serene and capable of creating the highest quality productions.
I've worked in the past with very well-known producers and I understand how to get the job done. I am a multi-instrumentalist, however I do believe in hiring other session players if it calls for it.

Interview with Eric Dash Friedman
Q: How would you describe your style?
A: I'm a song guy. Hits are great, but I like good songs just as much.
Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?
A: Post Malone - I know he loves grunge rock. I would want to do that with him.
Q: Can you share one music production tip?
A: Make sure everything in the session is doing something important
Q: What type of music do you usually work on?
A: Pop/Rock and Singer Songwriter mostly. But also Country, Dance, Hip Hop, and RnB.
Q: What's your strongest skill?
A: Writing and ideas, whether it be parts or inspirational direction.
Q: What do you bring to a song?
A: Refinement
Q: What's your typical work process?
A: Every job is different. I just want the artist to be happy with the product.
Q: Tell us about your studio setup.
A: I have a fully functioning studio for tracking, minus a sound room. It's treated professionally for mixing and there is a sound booth for live amplifiers and vocals. The best part of my studio is my vocal chain, consisting of some vintage pieces and a Telefunken 251E.
Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?
A: John Mayer, The 1975, Mark Ronson, Mike Crossey, Ariel Rechtshaid, Andrew Watt
Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.
A: Most of the work is production (building tracks) in mostly pop/rock, dance, and pop synth genres, songwriting, and engineering.
Q: What's the biggest misconception about what you do?
A: Anyone can do it with a laptop
Q: What questions do you ask prospective clients?
A: What do they want to accomplish? Who are their influences? What inspires them recently...
Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?
A: Make sure you like my style
Q: If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?
A: Laptop, Headphones, Interface, 251E, KM184
Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?
A: 7 years. I sent a video to Jack Joseph Puig of me playing a song and was out in Los Angeles a week later working with him. I've been working as a producer for 3 years.
