Tight, dry, 'sticky' sounding mixes for soft rock and indie rock with loads of groove. My mixes are punchy, intimate, and musical. Always adding new tools and skills to my belt!
I am a songwriter and audio engineer based out of Ottawa, Ontario. I have well over a decade of experience in songwriting, music production and arrangement, and recording/mixing engineering. I attended a recording college several years ago and have returned to school more recently for a performance music program with a songwriting focus.
My primary services are:
- Mixing, with a special interest in soft rock and indie rock
- Vocal Tuning
- Songwriting, arrangement, and production support, ability to record a variety of acoustic and electric instruments
The 'flavour' of my music mixes could be compared to the sounds of Theo Katzman, or Bahamas. A very dry 70s sound, with an extended low end, and slightly more 'hi-fi'. I love to mix acoustic drums! Hire me if you're interested in groove and easy listening rather than a bombastic sound.
I have reliable access to multiple professional-grade studios in the Ottawa area that I can use for mix referencing and production outside of my own treated space at home. I work in Pro Tools, with the following plugin bundles: Slate, SSL, FabFilter, Melodyne.
A bit about me: I enjoy rock climbing, and I have an undergraduate degree in Architectural Engineering. I love oysters!
