Felipo GZO on SoundBetter

Hi! I am a professional mastering engineer with many years of experience, and an amateur rapper and music producer. I am a member of the GZO squad and the flowriders label. I can handle any genre, but I definitely specialize in hip-hop. Working with me you can be sure that your music will be made professionally.

I will help you take your song to the next level. The most important thing for me is the quality of the services provided and your satisfaction. You can also be sure of a quick turnaround time and a pleasant atmosphere.

What can I do for you?
• I can MASTER your song for every format (if necessary, I can also do STEM MASTERING). Before mastering, I'll give you some feedback on the mix. This way we will be able to get the best possible sound.
• I can FIX your MASTER if you think it doesn't sound good enough (only available to customers who create music in Logic Pro).
• I can CREATE A DDP IMAGE that will be ready to be sent to the disc duplication plant (it's free if I'm mastering your album).

My passion is making music with others and I will work hard to keep you satisfied. I look forward to working with you to create an experience out of your next project!

Interview with Felipo GZO

  1. Q: Tell us about a project you worked on you are especially proud of and why. What was your role?

  2. A: I won't choose anything special as I would have to update it daily. We are constantly learning new things in this industry, each song will be better and better so I will be more proud of it.

  3. Q: What are you working on at the moment?

  4. A: On my next albums.

  5. Q: Is there anyone on SoundBetter you know and would recommend to your clients?

  6. A: I recommend Allen JZW, he makes amazing beats!

  7. Q: Analog or digital and why?

  8. A: Digital, nowadays plugins are almost as good as analog equipment. Also, the selection of plugins is huge and gives you more possibilities.

  9. Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?

  10. A: The piece will be professionally prepared and you will be satisfied.

  11. Q: What do you like most about your job?

  12. A: Working with others, I develop my possibilities which I will use in my solo activity.

  13. Q: What questions do customers most commonly ask you? What's your answer?

  14. A: Can I prepare a master for different carriers? Yes, I will prepare your piece to the standards indicated.

  15. Q: What's the biggest misconception about what you do?

  16. A: That I can't create high-quality music with little equipment.

  17. Q: What questions do you ask prospective clients?

  18. A: Is there any reference track that I should approach yours?

  19. Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?

  20. A: You should know what result you want to achieve. If you don't know what result you want to achieve, I will help you decide, but it will be easier if you come to me with a vision of the result.

  21. Q: If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?

  22. A: I would take with me: laptop, audio interface, microphone, headphones and you, because it's best to do music with someone. You are much more important than any gear.

  23. Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?

  24. A: I've been doing this for several years when a friend showed me FL Studio. I am currently making music in Logic Pro.

  30. A: Don't collect samples, just use your one favorite sample pack.

  34. A: Hip-hop mastering is definitely my strongest skill.

  35. Q: What do you bring to a song?

  36. A: I make it at the same time in sound standards and contain something fresh.

  37. Q: What's your typical work process?

  38. A: First, I need to know what results in the song the artist expects to see. Then we work together on the track. And then I wonder what I can introduce to the song to make it sound even more interesting and stand out.

  39. Q: Tell us about your studio setup.

  40. A: Simple and minimalist, but it has everything I need to create high-quality music.
