I'm an experienced Mix Engineer Guitarist and Bassist. If you're looking to add clarity and polish to your mix, a second set of ears, or even additional instruments I am here to help you!
I have been mixing professionally since 2017 and have been a professional musician for even longer. I am primarily in the Rock genre but I have been known to mix Folk Punk, Cover bands, Chamber Pop, and Shoegaze. No matter the project, I can add clarity and life to your song.
I can also produce and add instrumentation (Bass, Guitar, Midi Drums). Check out my instagram (@corbinissimo) and my portfolio below to see if I am stylistically a good fit for you.

Interview with Corbin
Q: What are you working on at the moment?
A: Writing and Producing tracks for my up and coming band, 2xS.
Q: Analog or digital and why?
A: I'm all in the box. It's more flexible which is what people prefer these days and still sounds great.
Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?
A: You! I love getting people's tracks and being a fresh set of ears.
Q: Can you share one music production tip?
A: Experiment as much as you can before you commit to something when recording; be that mic choice, song key, arrangement. You can only know what works best for you through experimentation.
Q: What type of music do you usually work on?
A: I'm a Rock guy. I've also done Shoegaze, Ambient, a few folk punk records from my time in that scene.
Q: What do you bring to a song?
A: I bring a lot of focus and judgement to songs. I'm good at telling when things are not working, be it mistimed drums, rough edit work.
Q: What's your typical work process?
A: I put all the tracks in my DAW, push all the faders down, and then build the track up starting with drums and bass. Then from there I work on arrangement, creative decisions and volume automation. I let the mix sit for a day and then test for translation across multiple speaker systems and stereo/mono compatibility.
Q: Tell us about your studio setup.
A: I run a focusrite 18i20 into Adam A7x Monitors. I mix using KRK headphones.
Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?
A: Amazingly mixed and produced material such as Jim O'rourke, Kings of Convenience, Sea and Cake, Broken Social Scene, this list goes on... I love rhythm and arrangements that swing.
Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.
A: I specialize in mixing but also do remote session work (bass) from time to time.
