Rock & Indie Producer

Corbin on SoundBetter

Producer & mixer specializing in Rock, Soul, and Indie. I turn raw performances into polished, immersive tracks that still feel human. Austin-based with 15+ years in audio.

Hey, I’m Corbin — a producer, mixer, and multi-instrumentalist based in Austin, TX.
I specialize in rock, shoegaze, and indie music where texture, clarity, and groove matter most.

Since 2017, I’ve helped artists transform their demos into fully realized records that sound alive and emotionally engaging. My approach is about balancing punch and space — keeping the energy of your performance while enhancing depth and detail.

I can build full productions with guitar, bass, keys, and MIDI drums, or bring a fresh perspective to your existing sessions through precise, musical mixing.

Whether you’re an indie band looking for that next-level sound or a solo artist needing support from arrangement to mixdown — I’ll help you make something you’re proud to share.

Interview with Corbin

  1. Q: What are you working on at the moment?

  2. A: Writing and Producing tracks for my up and coming band, 2xS.

  3. Q: Analog or digital and why?

  4. A: I'm all in the box. It's more flexible which is what people prefer these days and still sounds great.

  5. Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?

  6. A: You! I love getting people's tracks and being a fresh set of ears.

  7. Q: Can you share one music production tip?

  8. A: Experiment as much as you can before you commit to something when recording; be that mic choice, song key, arrangement. You can only know what works best for you through experimentation.

  9. Q: What type of music do you usually work on?

  10. A: I'm a Rock guy. I've also done Shoegaze, Ambient, a few folk punk records from my time in that scene.

  11. Q: What do you bring to a song?

  12. A: I bring a lot of focus and judgement to songs. I'm good at telling when things are not working, be it mistimed drums, rough edit work.

  13. Q: What's your typical work process?

  14. A: I put all the tracks in my DAW, push all the faders down, and then build the track up starting with drums and bass. Then from there I work on arrangement, creative decisions and volume automation. I let the mix sit for a day and then test for translation across multiple speaker systems and stereo/mono compatibility.

  15. Q: Tell us about your studio setup.

  16. A: I run a focusrite 18i20 into Adam A7x Monitors. I mix using KRK headphones.

  17. Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?

  18. A: Amazingly mixed and produced material such as Jim O'rourke, Kings of Convenience, Sea and Cake, Broken Social Scene, this list goes on... I love rhythm and arrangements that swing.

  19. Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.

  20. A: I specialize in mixing but also do remote session work (bass) from time to time.
