Interview with Adrian Franke
Q: What's your strongest skill?
A: My greatest strengths lie in my keen sense of hearing, adaptability, and a genuine enthusiasm for new challenges. With experience across a diverse range of genres, I understand what it takes to create a standout song.
Q: What do you bring to a song?
A: I consider my work complete only when my client is fully satisfied. Prioritizing the art, I don't adhere to a fixed formula; each song is treated uniquely, demanding customized mixing and mastering. It's essential for me to grasp the artist's expression goals, fostering collaborative decision-making throughout the process.
Q: What's your typical work process?
A: I would appreciate receiving a demo or rough mix of your song. If everything looks good from my perspective, please send the corresponding files, and I will begin working on it promptly. If I notice any areas that may benefit from adjustments before mixing or mastering, I will communicate with you to discuss potential solutions.
Q: Tell us about your studio setup.
A: Three years ago, I established my own compact studio with a primary focus on crafting a linear sound profile to ensure optimal conditions for effective mixing and mastering. Presently, I utilize the KRK Rokit RP6 G3 and Neumann NDH30 headphones for my mixing sessions.
Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?
A: I draw inspiration from a variety of artists. When it comes to mixing and mastering, I'm a big fan of the work of Serban Ghenea, Jaycen Joshua, Mike Seaberg, Kingsize, and many more.
Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.
A: I help artists take their music to the next level - here, I assist wherever it's needed.
