Q: Tell us about a project you worked on you are especially proud of and why. What was your role?
A: Goodbye Yesterday album from Heywood & Moore. Songwriting, guitars & vocals. Executive producer and astering engineer. The tracks have depth and a range of variations that don't give a random or dischordant feel to the whole.

A: Roots rock original track
Q: What do you like most about your job?
A: The music...
Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?
A: If you want to chase the mob then look elsewhere otherwise if you want something unique the check me out.
Q: If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?
A: PRS CE24 electric guitar, Mesa Boogie guitar amplifer, pedal board, solar PV power system.
Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?
A: I started playing professionally in Sydney in the late 1970s. Moved to England and evolved with the digital audio revolution, recording and covering the developments with a book (The PC Music Handbook) and articles in the UK music / technical press - Sound on Sound, PC Pro, Music Tech etc.
Q: How would you describe your style?
A: Folk / roots rock with a jazz influence.
Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?
A: Paul Francis due to his deep experience with ensemble rhythm sections
Q: Can you share one music production tip?
A: Always have a reference track that you can reset you perception.
Q: What type of music do you usually work on?
A: Roots / Rock with a tinge of Americana

A: Focus on the work at hand.

A: A good set of ears...

A: For ensemble recoring - start out with the rhythm sections and then build from there.

A: Digital audio production facility based around Soundscap R.ed & Pro Tools.
