Interview with CANELA

  1. Q: Tell us about a project you worked on you are especially proud of and why. What was your role?

  2. A: My latest release, 2:22. I got involved in every aspect of the song.

  3. Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?

  4. A: I've been singing since I was 7, just going with the flow. By the time I hit 12, I was part of a symphony orchestra for a cool year. Now, I'm deep into the dance scene, but music's always been my ride-or-die. Worked alongside some awesome urban artists, dancing my heart out and dreaming of belting tunes in massive venues. Right now, I'm rocking it as a backup singer for some top-tier artists. After years in the art game, I've finally decided to drop my own beats and share my music with the world. It's about time, you know?

  5. Q: How would you describe your style?

  6. A: Calm, to transport, feel and think. I've always said I want to make music for the soul.

  7. Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?

  8. A: Anderson Paak, Daniel, Me Estás Matando, Nanpa Basico, and H.E.R. Their musical approach, its way of interpretation and composition are very aligned with what I like, what I feel and want to share though my own songs.
