Interview with Chloe Allen

Q: What are you working on at the moment?
A: I am currently working on my very first studio album. Most of my earnings from these projects will be going towards my own album.
Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?
A: Ahhhh! It's been a JOURNEY! I've been singing since I could talk and started voice and guitar lessons when I was 9. I went from dreaming of being a country singer, to dreaming of being a pop star, to falling in love with musical theatre and wanting to be a broadway star. I began focusing on technical singing when I was 12 years old so I could be cast in my middle school production of The Little Mermaid and I ended up getting Ariel and the rest was history. I ended up going to college for musical theatre and moving to NYC. Somehow I ended up writing again and I rediscovered my roots and now I'm shifting away from broadway and focusing on becoming a full time performing artist.
Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?
A: Taylor Swift. She's my absolute role model and I've been a fan since I was 6 years old. Her ability to reinvent herself and genre jump is truly inspiring.
Q: What type of music do you usually work on?
A: anything. From pop to opera to Disney to country to rock. I got you.
Q: What's your strongest skill?
A: Storytelling. I pride myself on being able to provide a raw and honest vocal performance. I also have a very strong ear for harmonies.
Q: What do you bring to a song?
A: I have so much passion and care for what I do and my primary goal is storytelling and making people feel the words being sung. I also have many different vocal tricks. If you need high belting, high soprano, breathiness, growls, speak singing, etc.
Q: Tell us about your studio setup.
A: I work right from my apartment! I have a small but powerful set up. It allows me to work quickly and efficiently.
