Bring out together the power from your songs!
Long time self taught electric guitarist, music aficionado, I studied sound at the ISTS School, based in Rennes, France, from 2006 to 2009.
Passionate with rock music since my childhood, especially punk and metal genres, I try to bring out the best from the recordings I'm given or from my own ones.
I've worked on several personnal projects as a guitarist and sound engineer/mixer for the last 15 years and want to offer my skills to others.
I'm primarly focused on mixing, which is the part I'm the most excited with, but can also do mastering and editing (voice cleaning/comping, drums).
My goal is to make your song sound big, clear and exciting. I'm looking to up your music to near perfection but still retaining the human part, because, hey, it's only rock'n'roll !
Feel free to contact me, I'll gladly discuss with you.

Interview with Simon LUCCIANI
Q: Analog or digital and why?
A: Both have their advantages and inconveniences, but I'm working 100% in the box/digital, thanks to the efficiency it gives me. The "studio classics" emulations are so good it would be a shame not to take profit of them!
Q: Tell us about a project you worked on you are especially proud of and why. What was your role?
A: My three 2022 EP projects with my brother were great for us. It gave us lots of fun and joy. It really helped me refining my mixing skills/efficiency and offered me lots of experience. I played the bass, guitar, sang some songs, mixed and masterized everything and did all the graphic work. It was hard and sometimes frustrating, but in the end it was all worth it.
Q: What are you working on at the moment?
A: Mixing music for my good friends CasteL7 and writting/demoing music for my next two projects.
Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?
A: Do everything I can to provide satisfaction, offering creative ideas to enhance the songs.
Q: What do you like most about your job?
A: Daily challenges to overcome and discovering new music.
Q: What's the biggest misconception about what you do?
A: We'll fix it in the "insert next-step-of-the-process" here.
Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?
A: References are always a good idea as a starting point!
Q: If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?
A: A good ol' guitar and a Marshall JCM800, a SSL 4000 G to hide under in case of rain, lots of 1176 and LA2A to build walls with.
Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?
A: I've always had interest in music, and around 13/14 years, I started to practice the guitar, which led me to the studio world. I've focused my studies toward soung engineering and I'm currently working as an event project manager. I started to record my different band's projects around the age of 15, and never stoppped since then. It teached me the "why I need more mics and inputs" and to do my best with the little I had/have. I still try to keep that spirit in my work.
Q: How would you describe your style?
A: Energetic and straight to the point.
Q: Can you share one music production tip?
A: Less is more, unless it's analog saturation.
Q: What type of music do you usually work on?
A: I'm used to work rock/metal/punk genres, but open to anything.
Q: What's your strongest skill?
A: Quick to analyze things and mixing.
Q: What do you bring to a song?
A: Fullness, excitment and fun!
Q: What's your typical work process?
A: After recording, I spent some time cleaning the voice and drums takes. I can edit but I always try to get the best from the recording process. I make a quick balance and start from there to EQ and compress. Then starts the "creation" part with the adding of effects and automation to bring excitment to the song. After all that, I masterize the song and do some touch ups if needed or just stop there.
Q: Tell us about your studio setup.
A: I'm working from home with a Mac Mini M2 Pro, Logic X, Focusrite 18i20 interface, Axe FX 2XL, Mesa Rectifier Recording Preamp and lots of pedals. I'm used to mix with the SSL Native Channel Strip 2 and Bus Compressor, UADs Distressor, LA2A Collection, Pultec EQs, Izotope Ozone 10 and Neutron 4. I'm mainly mixing with my trusty Beyer Dynamic DT770 Pro 250 ohms.
Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?
A: I'm deeply rooted in the DIY punk philosophy and universe, so my musical inspirations come from The Clash, The Ramones, and other bands as Anthrax or Black Sabbath. As a mixing/sound engineer, Andy Wallace and Tom Lord-Alge are my main inspirations.
Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.
A: I'm used to record quick my band's EP. Last year, we managed to record 3 differents EP in 1 day each in the span of five months. I mixed and mastered everything after each recording sessions.
