Interview with Luis Escobar
Q: What do you like most about your job?
A: That I don't think of it as a job. I love music and creating music too much to consider it a job. The process, the different sounds and effects that I can add, the passion of the vocalist... Those are the things that drives me to do the best.
Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?
A: I'm just starting. I mostly have practiced with myself and short works on the side. Like radio commecials and music instrumentals.
Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?
A: I've been writing since I was 14 years old. I stopped because of personal reasons. After that, I started studying audio production to understand sound better and to repay music for what it has done on my life.
Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?
A: Eminem and Nas. Their work ethic and knowledge could help me to understand how the industry works on the genre that I have the most passion.
Q: What type of music do you usually work on?
A: Rap, Reggaeton and Hip Hop.
Q: What's your typical work process?
A: I made the recordings and mastering on Logic Pro. I do the editing and mixing on Pro Tools.
Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.
A: Recording, Mixing, Mastering.
