For the longest time I have been fascinated by the nature of sound. How it is created, how it travels, and how it is perceived. I started producing music at the age of 13, where I was inspired by the freakish nature of sound design in early dubstep. Over the years I have built my craft to suite the needs of my curiosity in the area of sound engineering and sound design. Through my developments in hip hop production, I managed to gain access to the wide variety of opportunity in London, working with artists such as Hazey, A92, PsychoYP, and collaborating with companies such as Nike and JD Sports on promotional content.
I currently offer production services in a wide array of genres including Hip Hop, RnB, pop, and electronic music. I tend to draw influence from a variety of genres when working on production, blurring the lines of containment while seeking experimentalism. I also offer a range of engineering services from cleaning up vocals, leveling and arrangement, overall mixing, and mastering. When it comes to engineering I am keen on finding the right balance between vintage analog processing and modern clarity to enhance the overall mood/message of the production.

Interview with Antoun Keirouz
Q: What questions do you ask prospective clients?
A: What sounds intrigue you? Where are you from? What types of music can be heard where you're from? What's your favorite instrument, genre, artist? What do you feel when you play an instrument of your choosing, including your voice?
Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?
A: I look to provide an experience rather than a service. Therefore, I am keen to learn about the background of your music and the story behind your pieces. This will ensure an intimate process of production, which I believe is the best way to harness creativity and maximize the quality of meaningful production.
Q: If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?
A: Field mic, interface, laptop.
Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?
A: I began as a self-taught music producer at the age of 14, where I was massively intrigued by the nature of sound design in electronic music. I am currently 24 years of age, meaning I have completed 10 years in production. Towards the third year of production, I began working with artists online, producing hip hop tracks for them, mixing their vocals and publishing our works online. For the past 4 years I have been working in the music industry based in London with a production team called AoM (Architects of Music), providing production services and mixing/mastering songs for widespread playback.
Q: How would you describe your style?
A: My style can be summed up with one word: adaptation. I believe production entails a process of many forms and methods to ensure an accurate and meaningful representation of a creative concept or idea. Therefore, I believe technical adaptation is key in stretching the boundaries of sound to capture and express a certain message, feeling, or idea.
Q: Can you share one music production tip?
A: Don't be afraid to take your time. As long as the workflow is consistent, there are no time requirements when working with creativity.
Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.
A: The most common type of work I do is record production. I believe that the preliminary steps of production are key to ensure that high quality music comes out of the session. This means that topics, ideas, and even feeling must be thoroughly discussed prior to recording. Furthermore this allows for experimentation to take place in terms of lyricism, composition, and structuring, which aids the subsequent processes of recording and mixing techniques.
