Q: Can you share one music production tip?
A: When you get frustrated trying to be creative and we all do.Keep pushing through that's the difference between having lots of 8 bar loops on your computer verses full tracks.Good work ethic is everything.
Q: Tell us about a project you worked on you are especially proud of and why. What was your role?
A: I've engineered all of Richie Blackers music from day one.His progress has been amazing to see.From not getting anyone to listen to his music to signing to Sasha's LNOE then working with Crystal waters for Atlantic records.
Q: What are you working on at the moment?
A: I'm always working on electronic music that'll be on Beatport & streaming services soon.
Q: Analog or digital and why?
A: Both
Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?
A: I'll work as hard as possible to get the results they want.
Q: What do you like most about your job?
A: I like it all but the mixing stage is a lot of fun and can make a huge difference to a track.
Q: What questions do customers most commonly ask you? What's your answer?
A: Can I help them produce tracks.My answer is YES!
Q: What questions do you ask prospective clients?
A: Depends on what they need.Could be what style of music they like to taking Ozone Off the stereo buss.
Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?
A: it's as simple as reaching out.Lets talk about your project goals and go from there.
Q: If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?
A: 1.Mac Studio 2.Speakers 3.Logic pro 4.U-he Diva. 5.sound interface. These are the basics of my setup.
Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?
A: 30 years.Since I left school I've been building a career in music.
Q: How would you describe your style?
A: Whatever is needed at the time.
Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?
A: Dj Sasha.It was his Dj sets back in the 90's that got me hooked on electronic music.His productions are also epic soundscape journeys.
Q: What type of music do you usually work on?
A: All styles of Electronic music
Q: What's your strongest skill?
A: Being flexible I can come on board & offer advice/direction at any stage of a project.
Q: What do you bring to a song?
A: Whatever is required from initial idea to finished product
Q: What's your typical work process?
A: That ranges from dj's with a reference track/style they want to produce a track similar.To producers sending me full tracks to evaluate mix & master.
Q: Tell us about your studio setup.
A: I have a custom built room which I built from the ground up with acoustics in mind.My DAW of choice is Logic since version 4.I like many others have a plugin addiction especially UAD and Softube.Favourite Keyboard is the Virus TI.I have an Eve Audio 3 way system for main monitoring.
Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?
A: I've been a huge fan Of Bt(Brain Transeau) since the mid 90's his early progressive sound was groundbreaking and moved that scene forward.

A: Help dj's produce Electronic music from breaks to Techno.From basic idea to final master.
