I am a Singer-Songwriter who specializes in topline melodies for House and Electronic music. My vocals are rich, dreamy, and versatile. I have many years of experience writing in both English and Spanish, and have recently started incorporating French, Italian, and Portuguese into my songs.
Under the artist name "Fiorella" I have released 20 Latin inspired songs working alongside Oliver Camargo May, Jose Madeiro, and Nathan Gomez. I studied Contemporary Music and Music Production at Emmat (Escuela de Musica, Medios, Arte, y Tecnologia) in Bogota, and then Music Production and Audio Engineering at Abbey Road Institute Amsterdam.
I have experience writing for commercials, Djs/Producers, other artists, and have gotten several songs sync licensed (Black Body - Rebelde Netflix). I just released my album "Misbehavior" (Lofi-Jazz, Noir-pop) which I wrote and recorded during my studies at Abbey.
I'm currently writing and producing a House/Electronic Ep to release next year, collaborating with other indie artists, and writing toplines for Afro-House, Reggeaton, and Electronic tracks.
I have access to a high quality recording studio. I work mainly in ProTools and Ableton.

I've worked with Fiorella a couple of times in recording and songwriting sessions. She's always very upbeat and insightful in her contributions. She also good at keeping things productive yet lighthearted. Both in singing and composing, she is simply great.
I worked with Fiorella on some projects and it has been a really good experience. Great singer and songwriter, easy to communicate with and full of energy.
Great Songwriter! We worked together on a few songs on an album I did - Fiorella was always able to deliver and really write from the heart. She was also able to channel my ideas into lyrics and get the vocal processing just right. 10/10 would recommend!
Interview with Fiorella
Q: Analog or digital and why?
A: Digital since it's more accessible but I'm constantly using Tape and Vinyl plugins for the "analog feel." Recording and mixing onto a console has also been more fun for me and helped me learn how to mix a lot better than in the box.
Q: What do you like most about your job?
A: Being pushed out of my comfort zone, hearing new music/genres, and collaborating.
Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?
A: Have a reference in mind.
Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?
A: I started singing when I was 4/5 years old because my mom wanted to take lessons. When I was 9 she put me in vocal lessons with Melissa Mulligan and though I didn't really know what I was doing, I started writing songs around the same time. After graduating highschool I went to EMMAT, a Berklee Partner school, in Bogota, Colombia for 2 years studying music production and contemporary music. In this time I wrote and recorded my first EP "IslandView" with Oliver Camargo May. During the pandemic I released my Ep and tried collaborating with other songwriters and producers but I felt I wasn't in the right place so I continued my studies in Abbey Road Institute Amsterdam. There, I was thrown into the world of music and started to really understand everything that lies in it. I wrote, recorded, and mixed my first album, collaborated with many of my peers, and went to several songwriting camps (I even engineered a session at Rockfield Studios in Wales). After finishing the course I moved back home where I contacted producers and artists letting them know I was offering my services as a topliner and have been working since. I released the album I recorded during my studies at Abbey Road (Misbehavior). I've been singing at a jazz lounge in my city (Covers of pop and jazz songs), and a popular Nightclub (House remixes, Disco and pop), and have been writing songs for Electronic and Afro-house Dj's. I'm now working on an Ep inspired by French House and Indie-Electronica.
Q: How would you describe your style?
A: International, mysterious, and sweet.
Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?
A: I would love to work with Fred Again! I think his recent album is so dynamic and fun and I would love to contribute vocals for a high energy song like "Places to be" or even something more emotional like "fear less".
Q: Can you share one music production tip?
A: The best way to learn how to produce a song is by remaking a popular song from scratch. Start with the drums, identify where the kick and snare are, then move on to the chord progressions and bass.
Q: What's your typical work process?
A: I like to listen to references provided by my client to get a feel for what they want. Then, I mumble melodies over the track until I find a nice hook or any ideas I can build around. The fun part of songwriting is how different every session is. Sometimes I'll decide on a theme and listen to a podcast or Youtube video about it so I can grab interesting words and work them in. Typically, I object write until I have a page or so and then, with the hook or melody already established, I work on structure. After the songwriting is complete, I'll record a Lead Vocal and send it to my client so they can give me feedback. If they are happy with the main idea, I carry on recording Doubles and Backing Vocals.
Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?
A: Charli XCX.
Q: What type of music do you usually work on?
A: I was very Singer-Songwriter for my first Ep and Album, but for the past couple years I've been more into House/Electronic. Lots of producers ask me for Afro-house vocals as well.
Q: What are you working on at the moment?
A: I'm working on expanding my artist profile by collaborating with other artists and writing for Dj's/Producers. I'm also working on a new Indie-Electronic Ep for next year. I've made lots of sad and chill music in the past and I want to move in a different direction with new genres that have more "danceability." I'm also working on the "universe" surrounding my music.
Q: What questions do you ask prospective clients?
A: What's the intention/feeling they want the song to transmit? Do you prefer a lower range or higher? Do you want a traditional verse, chorus, verse, chorus, and bridge, or something more free/experimental?
Q: What's your strongest skill?
A: Writing catchy hooks/matching the vibe of the song. Usually when I'm writing a song the first thing I come up with is the hook, and then I write verses around that. I also ask the client a lot of questions about what they're looking for and what references they have so they are happy with the outcome.
Q: What do you bring to a song?
A: Sensual and hypnotic vocals. Since I'm usually doing electronic based songs, I try to not distract too much from drops and main melodies. My vocals and melodies flow seamlessly into your original idea.
Q: Tell us about your studio setup.
A: I record all my vocals with a Shure SM7b and Apollo Solo. I record, edit, and mix in Ableton and my favorite plugins are Soundtoys collection.
Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.
A: Songwriting for features, vocal production, and toplines for Dj's.
