Soulful hip-hop, R&B, and house production built around your voice. I'm Rokmore, a Houston producer and engineer with 20+ years of experience. Bring me a demo, a song idea, or a record that needs finishing, and let's build it together.
I'm Rokmore, a music producer and audio engineer based in Houston. I work with independent artists who have something to say and want a sound that feels like their own.
My work spans soulful hip-hop, boom bap, R&B, trap, lo-fi, and house. I bring more than 20 years of production and engineering experience, along with my perspective as an artist, educator, and Next Level Hip-Hop Cultural Ambassador.
You can come to me with a voice memo, lyrics, a rough demo, or a track that isn't quite there yet. We'll talk through your references and what you want the song to feel like, then identify the production, arrangement, or mixing work it needs. I listen closely, explain my decisions, and make room for your ideas throughout the process.
Services include:
- Custom beats and original production
- Additional production and arrangement
- Drum programming
- Mixing
- Recording sessions in Houston
Live musicians can be arranged when the project calls for them, with costs discussed in advance.
To get started, send your demo or idea, a couple of reference songs, the help you need, and your target release date through the Contact button. I'll review the material and outline the scope, deliverables, timing, and price before we begin.
Send me an email through 'Contact' button above and I'll get back to you asap.

Interview with Rokmore
Q: What questions do you ask prospective clients?
A: What do you want this song to feel like? What is already working, and what feels unfinished? Which reference songs capture the direction? What recordings or session files do you have? What help do you need, and is there a release date we're working toward? Those answers help me propose a realistic scope.
Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?
A: Listen to the work and choose someone whose musical instincts fit your project. Be clear about the help you need: a custom beat, full production, additional production, recording, or mixing. Agree on deliverables, revisions, timing, and ownership before starting. A good collaboration should leave room for honest feedback from both sides.
Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?
A: I've spent more than 20 years producing and engineering music. My career also includes founding TheGr8Thinkaz and Kinetic Vibez, teaching music production, and serving as a Next Level Hip-Hop Cultural Ambassador. Working as both an artist and educator shapes how I collaborate: I listen, share ideas clearly, and help artists make decisions about their music.
Q: How would you describe your style?
A: Rhythm-driven, soulful, and attentive to texture. I care about how the drums feel, how the vocal sits, and how the arrangement moves. The specific sound comes from the artist and the song we're making together.
Q: What type of music do you usually work on?
A: Hip-hop and R&B are at the center of my work, including soulful, boom bap, trap, and lo-fi production. I also produce house music. My profile's Dreamville and Smino references give you a starting point for the kind of sound I'm interested in building with artists.
Q: What do you bring to a song?
A: A producer's ear and an artist's perspective. I pay attention to groove, texture, arrangement, and the space around the vocal. My goal is to help the music support what you're saying and give the song a clear identity.
Q: What's your typical work process?
A: We start with your demo or idea, references, and goals. I listen for what's already working and where the song needs attention. Before we begin, we agree on the scope, deliverables, timeline, revisions, and price. From there, we develop the production or mix with feedback at agreed stages so the record stays connected to your vision.
Q: Tell us about your studio setup.
A: My setup combines Ableton, Pro Tools, and an MPC Live with Apollo conversion and monitoring. For recording, my gear includes a Warm Audio WA-8000 and Manley Voxbox. The tools support the session; the focus is on the performance and what the song needs.
Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.
A: I help independent artists develop songs through original production, custom beats, additional production, arrangement, and mixing. I also offer recording sessions in Houston. The starting point can be a voice memo, lyrics, a rough demo, or an existing track that needs more work.
