Interview with Martina Mozzoni

Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?
A: I've been singing since I was little. I studied singing all my life and have a university degree in Superior Vocalist in my home country, Argentina. I'm part of an electronic music duo called Alto Astral, which is part of record labels such as Proton Music, The Soundgarden, Manual Music, Freegrant Music, Sound Avenue and others within the progressive house genre. We've had global recognition from DJs such as Hernan Cattaneo, Nick Warren and John Digweed.
Q: What do you bring to a song?
A: I sing from the soul, and that is something that will give distinction to your work. As a singer, it's not only important to be in tune and hit the notes you want, you're also a performer, and as such, you have to get into the role of what you're singing. This is where I bring to your song, whatever emotion you're looking for, something sad? something nostalgic? something hopeful? sweet? almost whispering..? That's up to you... I'll do all the rest!
Q: How would you describe your style?
A: I'd describe my voice style as a little bit nostalgic and sweet kind of vibe, but it always depends a lot on what i'm working on.
Q: Can you share one music production tip?
A: If you're feeling stuck, take a walk and come back later! :)
Q: What type of music do you usually work on?
A: A lot of DJS and music producers contact me for EDM works, but I also worked for a lot of Indie Rock songs. I also did a lot of Jazz Vocal jams!
Q: What's your strongest skill?
A: My strongest skill is definetely singing!
