A05

Multi genre producer

A05 on SoundBetter

I produce mostly alternative tracks. I have some songs on spotify as A05 and also with my band Raccoon Juice.

I have production, mixing and songwriting experience. I like to use FL studio and I know how to play guitar and piano. I really like synths and quintuplets. If you need someone to create some guitar or piano recordings or to help you write or produce your music you can hit me up, I'm sure we can create something sick.

Interview with A05

  1. Q: Tell us about a project you worked on you are especially proud of and why. What was your role?

  2. A: My band Raccoon Juice's first independent EP release.

  3. Q: What are you working on at the moment?

  4. A: trying to get better at music and make some cool collaborations with people. (maybe an album as A05 and then later on another album with my band, and by maybe, I mean we already making them)

  5. Q: Is there anyone on SoundBetter you know and would recommend to your clients?

  6. A: i don't know anyone :(

  7. Q: Analog or digital and why?

  8. A: Analog is cool because it's natural and I am actually studying electronics engineering soi know a thing or two about how things work behind the casings, but digital is way more accessible and I really appreciate that. So yeah, both :) and it mostly depends on what you want to do.

  9. Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?

  10. A: That I will try my best to achieve the sound they want.

  11. Q: What questions do you ask prospective clients?

  12. A: What emotions or vibes are they looking to portray and what kind of sounds/ techniques should I attempt to implement.

  13. Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?

  14. A: Don't be scared to be honest, I understand how important music might be for you meaning if you don't love something just tell me, I won't take it in a bad way.

  15. Q: If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?

  16. A: My laptop, an audio interface, a guitar, a piano and maybe a way to power those things idk.

  17. Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?

  18. A: I've been learning music since I was 6 years old, but only like 2 years ago did I start trying to write songs and produce in a more "professional" way.

  19. Q: How would you describe your style?

  20. A: odd

  21. Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?

  22. A: Top of my list is Damon Albarn, JD and DOMi or BBNG, but overall Im really looking to work with anyone, it's part of what I love about music.

  23. Q: Can you share one music production tip?

  24. A: Make sure you make as much music as you can to get better at it before judging yourself, but at the same time make sure you don't lose your love to music in the process of overdoing music.

  25. Q: What type of music do you usually work on?

  26. A: Mostly alt pop or more electronic sounds when I don't have access to my home studio. Also like beat making.

  27. Q: What's your strongest skill?

  28. A: Playing guitar and producing.

  29. Q: What do you bring to a song?

  30. A: I think I can bring a very particular texture to songs, as well as some level of production and emotion.

  31. Q: What's your typical work process?

  32. A: I don't have a very set routine, mostly I start by looking for a sound, chord progression, lyrics or sample that inspires me to then later develop a song.

  33. Q: Tell us about your studio setup.

  34. A: I have a home studio with some entry level recording gear for my instruments but I am studying abroad so I don't always have access to it. I also have a small interface which i can use to record some MIDI piano tracks, guitar and backing vocals.

  35. Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?

  36. A: I really love the arrangements in BADBADNOTGOOD's music and the production from Galimatias. Lyric and vocals, i love the stuff from little dragon, Charlotte Day Wilson and joji. Other heavy inspirations are gorillaz, IDLES, Monte Booker, Kenny beats, DOMi and JD Beck, thundercat and Junlge.
