Most known for my work with Christian & Gospel artists and labels including Vineyard Worship & Integrity Music and as the drummer for alternative rock band Verra Cruz.
Making music is life giving, rewarding and as a good friend of mine once said, “If it’s in you, it has to come out”. But it can also be a long road and a bewildering cocktail of setbacks and breakthrough, disappointments and mountain top moments. Being in a band has taught me so much about the value of trust and relationship in creative collaborations, and that the music we make together is unique to us.
Working to deadlines (and usually on a tight budget) can create pressure and frustration but never forget that making music is a gift! Part of what I’ve (somehow) been able to facilitate over the years is helping people finish creative endeavours which is a source of real joy to me.
I work out of my home studio Way José! in Chichester, UK mixing mostly in the box and tracking drums with an early 2000's Tama Superstar kit, a Gretsch bell brass snare and Zildjian cymbals.
