Interview with KYBERNETIK.LAB
Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?
A: To deliver uncompromising sound quality that stays true to your vision and performs flawlessly across all platforms—from intimate headphone sessions to booming festival stages.
Q: What's the biggest misconception about what you do?
A: I only adjust the volume of the different versions. However, I create a specially adjusted mastering for each playback situation. With other mastering engineers you sometimes get several versions for your track, but they don't differ much in character.
Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?
A: Look for someone who understands your genre and shares your vision. A good engineer doesn't just polish a track but enhances its emotional impact while ensuring it sounds great everywhere.
Q: What type of music do you usually work on?
A: Although the main focus is on electronic music, I often mix and master music like hiphop, pop or even electronic metal.
Q: What do you bring to a song?
A: I bring clarity, depth, and energy. By combining technical precision with a creative ear, I ensure the track stands out while staying true to the artist's vision. My process guarantees that the music performs powerfully across all listening environments.
Q: What's your typical work process?
A: I begin by understanding the artist’s vision and goals for the track. From there, I carefully balance, compress, and enhance the mix, ensuring clarity and impact. During mastering, I optimize for the target platforms—streaming, clubs, or festivals—while retaining the original artistic intent.
Q: Tell us about your studio setup.
A: Kybernetik.Lab is the first studio in the world equipped with a massive Lambda Labs QX3 PA system, delivering festival-grade sound in a studio environment. Combined with high-end analog and digital tools, I achieve precise sound optimization tailored to any listening context.
Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.
A: I specialize in mixing and mastering for electronic music producers and DJs, ensuring their tracks are optimized for clubs, festivals, streaming platforms, and physical releases.
