This is my second time working with Christian and It was an even better experience with him! He understood my communication and helped bring my vision for the song to life! And he is very professional and timely with the work he puts out. I’m glad I found him on this site!
Christian was dope to work with and very professional. He took my feedback for revisions very well, and ended putting together an amazing mix and master for my song! I am confident in releasing my music after working with him. Check him out!
Interview with Christian Sager
Q: Analog or digital and why?
A: Digital. It is more accessible than analog, which is the most important factor in a modern day setup. Digital technology has reached a point where it can emulate analog with incredible accuracy, and for a much lower price.
Q: How would you describe your style?
A: Textured, minimal, intentional, dark. The sound of driving at nighttime.
Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?
A: Sonder, Clams Casino, Tom Misch, BEAM, Wondagurl, Yung Lean, Eestbound, Coldplay, Medasin, M83, Drake, Sade, Michael Jackson, Majid Jordan, Periphery
Q: What's your typical work process?
A: I usually start with melodic instruments, add in percussion where it fits best, and then structure the song.
Q: Can you share one music production tip?
A: Never sacrifice progress for perfection.
Q: What's the biggest misconception about what you do?
A: "Making beats" vs "producing a song". If given the opportunity, I prefer to fully produce or have a creative voice in the song, from rough idea to final master. Over the years I have developed an ear for quality.
Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?
A: I will deliver the absolute best quality in any service you request.
Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.
A: Hip Hop & R&B production.
