I'm just a passionate music producer and artist for the love of music. I would love to collab with any like minded individuals so hit me up with a project idea that you would like me to materialize for you at a reasonable price. This is a hobby and passion of mine so don't be afraid to hmu with any type of offer and I will reason with you! Thanks!
I've been producing music/beats on Fl Studio for six years and playing guitar for eight years. I love all genres of music and I'm always trying to expand my horizons, so the more people I can meet and collaborate with the better!!! I think its awesome that there are so many platforms in which we can all connect with each other and share ideas. I enjoy sampling music from records to make hip hop beats, recording guitar samples, and composing music from scratch using plug ins on fl studio. I also record songs from time to time. If you want me to make you a song regarding a certain topic, make you a beat, a beat library, make samples, or anything along those lines then just let me know. I am happy to work with you and I promise I will put all of my effort and focus into whatever I make for you! Thank you for taking the time to read this.
Send me an email through 'Contact' button above and I'll get back to you asap.
Interview with ProdAlienOG
Q: Tell us about a project you worked on you are especially proud of and why. What was your role?
A: At the time of writing this my latest song on sound cloud called "Angels" is one that I am quite proud of. I wrote it and recorded it in about an hour all on the same day and it turned out good. I definitely could re record it and fine tune the mixing/mastering a bit to make it sound better but that's why its on sound cloud!
Q: What are you working on at the moment?
A: I'm currently working on expanding my sound library and making more complex and better composed tracks.
Q: Is there anyone on SoundBetter you know and would recommend to your clients?
A: Via CJ he is a rapper and an all around great and genuine dude. He told me about this website...
Q: Analog or digital and why?
A: Digital because it is so readily available and affordable to anyone that wants to get started in making music. Of course a professional recording studio using certain analog equipment can get a crazy good sound but almost everything these days is digital and I'm pretty happy with that personally.
Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?
A: I promise that no matter what you pay me, big or small, I will put 100% of my effort into making you satisfied with the final product.
Q: What do you like most about your job?
A: Creative freedom
Q: What questions do customers most commonly ask you? What's your answer?
A: Once I get a my first customer on here I will answer this question...
Q: What's the biggest misconception about what you do?
A: As a producer and a guitarist I understand that making a beat on a computer no matter if it uses a digital sound or not are both the same thing in the sense of being a creative musical composition. Many people believe that making a composition on a computer is just so easy and requires no talent but that's just simply not true. I dare them to pick up a computer and navigate fl studio and make a decent sounding track.
Q: What questions do you ask prospective clients?
A: Tell me exactly what you need me to do in detail and I will adapt to meet your demands. If there are any details that I need you to further elaborate on then I will get back to you and can continually send you progress updates to see if its something you like until I get it right.
Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?
A: Hire me if you want beats, music, collaboration, or help recording a song. I can mix/master things like vocals and/or add effects to them. Hire me if you want an open minded producer with patience, perserverance, and dedication. Hire me if you want any specific vibe/sound to be made!
Q: If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?
A: Everything I have now except replace my current laptop with a new mac book pro.
Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?
A: I'm currently joining the military to be an engineer, have been producing for over six years.
Q: How would you describe your style?
A: Natural
Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?
A: If I could only choose one living artist I would definitely choose logic. You gotta love the man. Hes been through all walks of life, persevered his dream while working full time and living in his friends basement, learned how to produce music and rap at the same time, and he has such positive open minded loving energy. Major inspiration.
Q: Can you share one music production tip?
A: Make music that you want to hear for yourself, not anyone else. Oh and use a limiter on your master channel to prevent audio clipping.
Q: What type of music do you usually work on?
A: Hip Hop
Q: What's your strongest skill?
A: Beat making
Q: What do you bring to a song?
A: I feel like I bring a unique style to all of the music that I create. I dont try to emulate other artists, I just do whatever I feel inspired to do at any given time. If my ears want to hear some edm, I make edm. If they want to hear auto tune, I record vocals with auto tune. Some old school hip hop, boom I record a hip hop track. Its all from the heart and I try to have a unique sound.
Q: What's your typical work process?
A: From start to finish when making a beat from scratch I will typically already have a sound/melody in mind to start off with so its just a matter of finding the right plug in presets(synth, keyboard, etc) then laying down the melody. After that I might add in some atmospheric chords to make the sound more "full" then I eq them and look for drums to add in. Some producers like to start with drums but I usually already know based on how the melody sounds what type of swing I want the drums to have. When sampling a record(usually an ost or vinyl soul music/r&b record) I will listen to many songs until a particular section or sections of a song stand out to me and then I will sample them, quantize the, pitch them, and chop them up. After that I just find a fitting drum sample which I sometimes loop or can take kicks, snares, and high hats from to re arrange. Once the beat is put together I eq it to cut out unwanted frequencies and then either just save it or sometimes record vocals over.
