  6. A: One common misconception about mix engineers is that our role primarily involves "fixing" or "repairing" poorly recorded tracks. While we do have the skills to enhance and optimize audio quality, our primary goal is to elevate and creatively shape the music, making it sound its best within the context of the artist's vision. Mix engineers are not just technicians; we are artists in our own right, collaborating with musicians to bring their songs to life and create a captivating sonic experience. Our work goes beyond correction to add emotion, depth, and impact to the music, contributing significantly to the final sound and overall success of a song or album.

  22. A: Typically, I provide an initial mix draft within half a day, operating within standard work hours from 8 am to 6 pm. Subsequent revisions will be delivered within 1 to 2 days, contingent upon the effectiveness of our communication and collaboration with the client. When the mix is approved, a full stem package consisting of a Main mix, Premaster Mix, Acapella Mix, TVMIX, Instrumental, and additional mixed stem groups.

  23. Q: Tell us about your studio setup.

  24. A: I work in a meticulously controlled listening environment, utilizing my trusted ATC SCM25A monitors alongside a Dynaudio Pro 18s Subwoofer. All mix editing is performed within Pro Tools 12, and my mixes pass through the SPL MixDream before returning to Pro Tools. I predominantly operate in-the-box (ITB) and employ a diverse array of cutting-edge plugins to achieve desired sonic outcomes.

  26. A: I am highly inspired from mix engineers that mix records I personally like a lot, such as Manny Marroquin, Serban Ghenea, Josh Godwin, Tom Elhmrist, Mike "spike" Stent

  28. A: The most common type of work I do for my clients revolves around mixing their records to perfection. This entails taking individual audio tracks, carefully balancing them, enhancing their sonic qualities, and ensuring that the final mix is cohesive, polished, and ready for release. My goal is to bring out the best in each element of the music while maintaining the artist's unique sound and vision, ultimately delivering a professionally crafted audio product that resonates with listeners.
