Interview with Louis Remenapp
Q: Analog or digital and why?
A: Both analog and digital platforms serve a great purpose in creating music. I believe that the medium you use to create is less important than whether or not your signal path is 100% analog. Both mediums provide certain advantages over the other and it would be impossible to side with one over the other.
Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?
A: I have been playing music for 16 years. I began engineering live shows 7 years ago and I have been working with recorded music for the last 4 years.
Q: What type of music do you usually work on?
A: I mostly work on Americana and singer-songwriter types of music, but I am also comfortable in pop, pop-rock, and heavier rock genres.
Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.
A: I do mostly mixing and mastering, but I also do tracking and production work for a few of my clients.
