Hey there! I’m Ena, and I couldn't be more thrilled to join you on this exciting musical journey!

Originally from Vancouver, Canada, I now call Belgrade, Serbia home. In the past few years, I’ve wrapped up my Bachelor of Arts in Audio Engineering at SAE Institute Belgrade and have been working a career in sound. Sound isn't just my passion—it's woven into my daily life. Whether I'm singing, producing, mixing, or writing, you can bet I'm fully immersed in the world of sound.

My biggest joy comes from creating music for various media like films, commercials, games, and podcasts. I'm particularly drawn to working with people who bring fresh, innovative ideas to the table—qualities I pride myself on embodying. Since landing in Belgrade, I've had the pleasure of collaborating with some incredible talents, including Teya Dora, Nina Todorovic, and Bebi Motorola.

Interview with Ena Indjin

  1. Q: What are you working on at the moment?

  2. A: I'm working on a personal EP, focusing on the contrast between electronic and organic sounds, and how we can combine the two to make something very textural and unique.

  3. Q: Analog or digital and why?

  4. A: Why not both? I love coming up with new ideas by fusing concepts like genres, languages, gear, anything!

  5. Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?

  6. A: I promise I will treat your project with great importance :)

  7. Q: What do you like most about your job?

  8. A: I love coming up with solutions to creative problems.

  9. Q: What questions do you ask prospective clients?

  10. A: What is the overall emotion you want this project to convey (or overall emotions)? What is the deadline?

  11. Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?

  12. A: Don't be afraid to ask questions, but also don't worry if you don't have a super clear vision for you project - I'd be more than happy on contributing some ideas so that we can craft it together :)

  13. Q: Can you share one music production tip?

  14. A: The best tip I can share is "The simpler, the better" in terms of the production's foundation. I mean this in terms of the core of the production, because I often see producers doing too much, and the truth is, it's important to have a good, simple core foundation, and then build off of that.

  15. Q: What do you bring to a song?

  16. A: Since I have experience in both Sound and Psychology, I have a keen ear and knowledge for conveying emotions through production/composition techniques and elements. So, through my unique understanding of the psychology of sound, I aim to heighten the emotional impact of a song by crafting soundscapes, immersive textures, and integrating elements of audio that strongly convey emotions.

  17. Q: What's your typical work process?

  18. A: The first step in my process is communication with the client to ensure we're on the same page as far as the creative vision goes. During the communication I like to gather as many references as possible to get a better idea. Then, I brainstorm a few different versions of the project, and get to work :) Once I'm in the studio, my workflow includes a lot of playing with the various theoretical knowledge I have to create something unique but coherent.

  19. Q: Tell us about your studio setup.

  20. A: I record vocals in a completely treated studio on an Austrian Audio 818 through an SSL 2 Legacy 4K Analog channel. Other equipment I use includes AKG 414s, a Zoom H6, a Sennheiser e935, and a Rode NT1A.

  21. Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?

  22. A: I'm mostly inspired by producers such as James Blake, Arca, Aphex Twin.. People who aren't afraid to experiment and fuse many genres into one.

  23. Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.

  24. A: I most often work on defining creative visions through music and short-form media. This includes creating melodies for songs, and producing music for short-form content such as short films, commercials, social media, etc.
