  1. Q: Tell us about a project you worked on you are especially proud of and why. What was your role?

  2. A: My own EP Weight Of The World, it took about a year to make and involved researching music psychology.

  3. Q: What are you working on at the moment?

  4. A: A second EP, a pop-rock Beatles inspired with live musicians and singer Marcus Smith.

  5. Q: Analog or digital and why?

  6. A: I’d love to try all analog when I can afford the gear, I love the sound electricity adds.

  8. A: Dedication to getting what they want and more.

  9. Q: What do you like most about your job?

  10. A: I’m obsessed with music.

  14. A: I don’t sample.

  19. Q: If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?

  20. A: Headphones, laptop, keyboard, generator, mosquito lamp.

  21. Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?

  22. A: Started making beats, went to college for music production, met collaborators through Asher Roth’s Discord, worked on my EP with them, worked on my second EP with live musicians.

  23. Q: How would you describe your style?

  24. A: A mix of cleanliness and texture where necessary.

  25. Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?

  26. A: Kanye West. He has the best vision for achieving an interesting and musical sound - at least he had.

  27. Q: Can you share one music production tip?

  28. A: Use a gate on home-recorded vocals.

  29. Q: What type of music do you usually work on?

  30. A: Hip-Hop/Rap, R&B, Pop, Rock, Folk.

  31. Q: What's your strongest skill?

  32. A: Determination, technical skill, good ear.

  33. Q: What do you bring to a song?

  34. A: A deep musical interest and knowledge, a perfectionist attitude, a willingness to provide the artists desired result.

  35. Q: What's your typical work process?

  36. A: Compose the song structure initially on the piano, decide what instruments should be added or replaced with, build the drums, record artists, mix and master.

  37. Q: Tell us about your studio setup.

  38. A: DAWs: Pro Tools, Ableton, Logic Pro and FL Studio. Hardware: Arturia Keylab 61 MIDI keyboard, Adam T5V monitors, and Beyerdynamic Pro headphones. Software: Arturia/Native Instruments/Waves/Universal Audio. Musicians available to hire: Guitars, Bass, Drums, Piano.

  41. Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.

  42. A: Produce a hip-hop instrumental, compose a song structure for any other genre, recruit and record live musicians, record or mix for others.
