Lydia Paulos

Session cellist & Arranger

Lydia Paulos on SoundBetter

From folk & indie to classical, from punk to musical theater and film scoring - I have 10+ years working as a freelance cellist & string arranger in NYC and Berlin. I can work with you to create a part, or play a chart you've already written. I'm here to help elevate your sound, and add that extra little *something* to your music.

Currently based in Berlin, I worked in New York for almost a decade, with a resume spanning across a wide variety of genres and styles. I'm a classically trained cellist with a Bachelor's degree in Music Performance from NYU, where I studied with the associate principal cellist of the New York Philharmonic. I've worked & performed with artists such as Pom Pom Squad, KYGO, and Duncan Sheik. I can work with or without charts, and have years of experience collaborating with artists to bring the best possible sound to their music. Though I might be biased... everything sounds better with a little cello, and I can help find the best balance for that in your music.

Selected recording credits:
Musical Theater - Losing My Mind: a Disco-Sondheim Fever Dream; An Evening With... Volume 1 by Blake Allen; Tina Burner: Maybe This Time
