I'm the drummer and producer you're looking for if you want your music to be solid and groovy but with a touch of experimentation. Always listening to your inputs and ready to give you new ideas.

My name is Federico, but you can find me as NODRAMACHINE, and I'm also part of the CORRENTE music production team. I have a brand new recording studio in Rome, in the creative neighborhood called Pigneto.
I don't like dividing music into genres, but as a drummer I am especially comfortable in jazz, pop, rock and hip hop. I love vintage acoustic sounds and glitchy distorted digital sounds at the same time. As a producer I like to bring out the identity of the song and the artist, and build a path over the long distance, with a little (artistic) risk. Electronic, hip hop, pop are the styles where I'm more in the comfort zone, but I like to get out of the comfort zone as much as possible :)

Working with Nodramachine was truly great. I had a drum part in my song that was really difficult to play. It was something that was difficult to explain, let alone translate into sheet music or anything similar. Nodramachine was able to do it with a lot of patience and exceeded my expectations. This drummer has an alert and interested musical mind and an incredible grasp of things. I highly recommend him. Be sure to give him a try!

Interview with nodramachine

  1. Q: What type of music do you usually work on?

  2. A: Everything except extreme metal (that I like a lot, but I'm not specialized in... however maybe we can try)

  3. Q: What's your strongest skill?

  4. A: Think outside the box, make music alive.

  5. Q: What do you bring to a song?

  6. A: Realness, energy, life.

  7. Q: What's your typical work process?

  8. A: I listen the song. That's the main part. Then I talk with the client to understand what he has in mind. And then I propose my idea. The work is completed usually in a day, that we book togheter, and delivered in the next. Usually two revisions max, but just because maybe I'm not the right guy for you if you're not happy at the third option :)

  9. Q: Tell us about your studio setup.

  10. A: My production studio is located in a bigger recording studio, where I have all my gear. The recording room is 35 square meters, my main drum is a vintage Ludwig from the 70s, but I also own a vintage Pearl from the 60s and a Meazzi jazz set from the 60s. Good mics, a lot of vintage ones (u87, akg 414, sennheiser 421...), good pres and compressors, a also soundcraft 1600 mixer

  11. Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?

  12. A: I grew up listening to alternative rock, crossover, grunge, and I accindentally fell into jazz, that I played a lot and with a great dedication. Then I was involved in a lot of different projects, indie, folk, jazz, prog rock, hip hop, electronics...

  13. Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.

  14. A: Usually here I record drums on their own songs, but I am a music producer as a main job
