Professional touring and session bassist comfortable in all styles. My goal is to always serve and elevate the music while offering a personal and creative touch to enhance the character of the song.
Hi!
My name is Matteo Mazzù and I'm a professional bassist from Brussels (Belgium) and currently living in Amsterdam. I have toured around Europe, Asia and the USA with various projects, ranging from indie to hip-hop, improvised electronic music, contemporary jazz...
Amongst others, I have performed with Oracle Sisters (Indie/Rock), Deine Freunde (Hip-hop), PEET (Hip-hop), Neon River (IDM), Jozef Dumoulin (avant-garde jazz)...
I am here to help you bring your songs to the next level: my main focus is to serve the music and provide the right bass line with the right tone and feel.
Beyond more "traditional" bass sounds, of which I can provide a great variety in high quality, I also specialise in using many pedals to expand the sound of the bass and add a new dimension to the music. Moog bass is also possible.
