Interview with SOLO

  1. Q: Tell us about a project you worked on you are especially proud of and why. What was your role?

  2. A: my album that you can find on soundcloud since the whole process to do it was done by me

  3. Q: What are you working on at the moment?

  4. A: in a production for a future illenium album

  5. Q: Is there anyone on SoundBetter you know and would recommend to your clients?

  6. A: Honestly no, but when I see one I will recommend it for sure

  7. Q: Analog or digital and why?

  8. A: digital I feel that it allows you to experiment and reach places where the analog does not

  9. Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?

  10. A: a clean work, coupling to the ideas of my client and of course with the different touch that will make your song make a difference.

  11. Q: What do you like most about your job?

  12. A: the freedom of expression and feelings that you can let flow just by playing notes saving memories in songs that will never die Or will you tell me that nowadays it doesn't happen to you that you listen to a song that your parents listened to and it brings back all those memories?

  13. Q: What questions do customers most commonly ask you? What's your answer?

  14. A: can we use more natural sounds? A: with all the taste in the world, there are natural sounds that synthetic sounds can never match. why do you work at night? A: It is the time where I feel more peace and tranquility Can you add voices to the theme? A: Sure, but it will have an extra cost unless the client gives me the voices already treated.

  15. Q: What's the biggest misconception about what you do?

  16. A: If you are wondering about music production as a lifestyle, I would say that none of it is a difficult path at the beginning, but if you understand that to be happy with this and generate income, you do not have to be famous. If they ask within the musical production I think my only mistake is that I work at night

  17. Q: What questions do you ask prospective clients?

  18. A: How did you come up with a certain idea? Are you willing to change? what do you expect with this song? What musical genre do you identify with? What do you want the mood of your song to be?

  19. Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?

  20. A: that they ask a lot, that he clarify all their doubts, that the conversations are not only about work but that they are conversations where I can understand him and his ideas and he understands mine and always dedicates himself to music in body and soul like me . Do not be afraid to speak and express your ideas because I am here to make music of your ideas and offer you the best of my work.

  21. Q: If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?

  22. A: laptop, interface, headphones and that's enough for me hahahahahaha

  23. Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?

  24. A: My career is based on 10 years of experience with many jobs, both personal that I did with my name for record labels and jobs for third parties that got out of my comfort zone and called my attention for that. the vast majority of these jobs are remote and one or the other face-to-face After 6 years of working as a producer, they began to call me to teach a course and masterclass for 30 or 40 people

  25. Q: How would you describe your style?

  26. A: spatial, sensitive, meticulous and delicate I consider myself a chameleon when it comes to making music but my personal style is like that when I produce music for myself. If the client wants something brutal and violent, I can do it without any problem.

  27. Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?

  28. A: skrillex since he has a very well organized workflow and is a very detailed producer in every aspect of his songs

  29. Q: Can you share one music production tip?

  30. A: The best advice I can give is without a doubt: LEARN TO USE YOUR DAW FULLY This will give them a plus when producing because the genre or the idea does not matter, whatever goes through their heads they can easily make a song and they will not fail and remain in the attempt. In addition to giving them more agility when producing and will greatly reduce their time when capturing an idea

  31. Q: What type of music do you usually work on?

  32. A: in genres that give space to experiment R&B, house, Future Bass, trap, pop, tech house, future bass, reaggetton among others

  33. Q: What's your strongest skill?

  34. A: It is undoubtedly the creation of unique sounds that you will not get in any library. the variation of the drum line with rolls and interesting cuts that push you throughout the song and make you want to keep listening to it the design of chord progressions and melodies depending on the mood of the song looking for ways during the creation of the song that few can think of or are afraid of developing for not going out of the ordinary

  35. Q: What do you bring to a song?

  36. A: My greatest contributions, said by my clients, I think it is the plus of being and sounding a little different while staying commercial, since electronics is my preferred genre when creating commercial songs, I give them that more experimental and different touch without abusing the resource. and without leaving the commercial

  37. Q: What's your typical work process?

  38. A: Everything starts with an idea that comes to me and I can develop it freely. If not, I go more to the experimental side looking for different sounds and in some cases manufacturing them, trying to merge genres and experimenting with each other. Sometimes I pay close attention to the times when we are summer or winter, this also helps guide me to give more results when airing the songs

  39. Q: Tell us about your studio setup.

  40. A: My musical studio is based on giving my clients as much comfort as possible to be able to develop an interesting workflow. I always try to keep up with the latest generations of each piece that is in my studio, such as my interface, monitors, PC, headphones and microphones.

  41. Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?

  42. A: I started in music production inspired by Avicii for his fresh sounds and interesting genre fusions. then I opened the field to more experimental electronic subgenres, inspired by producers such as flume, pluko, slumberjack, diplo, snavs, fabian mazur, skrillex, fred again among many others
