Eduar Beta on SoundBetter

Creative Textures Pads and Shiny Rhode's Colors

I am an emerging musician producer, originally from the Dominican Republic. My services specialize in playing keyboards, synthesizers and bass lines. I have only 2 years of experience, but it would be good if someone accompanies me along the way. <3

Interview with Eduar Beta

  1. Q: Tell us about a project you worked on you are especially proud of and why. What was your role?

  2. A: From my point of view, my outstanding works in music has been in live performances. I combine my sound designer skills in ableton live + live keyboard execution and I feel satisfied with what I do just like my clients.

  3. Q: What are you working on at the moment?

  4. A: I'm a free agent while answering the call of whoever needs

  5. Q: Is there anyone on SoundBetter you know and would recommend to your clients?

  6. A: Not at the moment

  7. Q: Analog or digital and why?

  8. A: The barrier of the analog with the digital is breaking in recent years, we can already see digital equipment that emulates characteristics of analog equipment and a standard ear does not notice the difference. So far I prefer the digital in terms of mixing and equalization, when it comes to playing instruments I prefer the warmth of the analog.

  9. Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?

  10. A: Feel satisfied and wanting more with the final product.

  11. Q: What do you like most about your job?

  12. A: It's music, I love it in every way and making it makes me love it even more

  13. Q: What questions do customers most commonly ask you? What's your answer?

  14. A: how much that would cost, and the answer would be that you want me to do so much.

  15. Q: What's the biggest misconception about what you do?

  16. A: I feel that my mistake is time. For now I only dedicate 4 hours a day to this, less than I should if I want to improve more in what I do. But I still feel that my progress is from strength to strength and I am improving in each production.

  17. Q: What questions do you ask prospective clients?

  18. A: In case you are interested in my product, ask you what caught your attention and remind you, so you would have an idea of what kind of work you would like to do. The customer is always right.

  19. Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?

  20. A: express what you feel and how you want to do it. My music and style is very sentimental and very open to artistic interpretations and spontaneous ideas. just be

  21. Q: If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?

  22. A: my laptop, audio interface, monitors, my keyboard and microphone (I think it's obvious)

  23. Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?

  24. A: I have 5 years playing keyboard and bass. I only have 2 years in music production.

  25. Q: How would you describe your style?

  26. A: Relaxing and spatial

  27. Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?

  28. A: Yussef Dayes, I follow that guy's work and I love what he does and how it sounds. Much of my sound has some of its nuances.

  29. Q: Can you share one music production tip?

  30. A: Be careful with the middle frequencies in the synths. Being a sound with a lot of harmonious content, sometimes it is usually saturated and burst the mix or stand out well above other things within it.

  31. Q: What type of music do you usually work on?

  32. A: Neo-soul, R&b, Latin R&b, Synth Pop.

  33. Q: What's your strongest skill?

  34. A: It would definitely be the keyboards and their configuration, I literally enjoy looking for new sounds and combinations

  35. Q: What do you bring to a song?

  36. A: A different feeling. Peace and relaxation, sometimes with shades of ''space sense''

  37. Q: What's your typical work process?

  38. A: I write down the ideas in my voice recording app on the phone and then transcribe them into Daw. I always like to start with the synths and then the drums, at the end I leave the bass line.

  39. Q: Tell us about your studio setup.

  40. A: I have it all in my small room, compact and reliable

  41. Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?

  42. A: Cory Henry, Yussef Dayes, Anomalie, Mike Dean.

  43. Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.

  44. A: Keyboard and synthesizer assembly
