MOTB is a producer and DJ from Colombia. He began his musical career in 2012 with genres such as Tech House and Deep Tech, until he found his way with Hip Hop and Rnb. He enjoys working with different emerging rappers and singers with the final purpose of sharing his sound across the world.

  1. Q: Tell us about a project you worked on you are especially proud of and why. What was your role?

  2. A: I produced a track that had 3 different artists on it and each artist wanted a different section on the track. So I had to produce 3 different sections and combine them into 1. All of this was done in a short period of time and the track ended up being released, its called: Rap Gourmet

  3. Q: What are you working on at the moment?

  4. A: I'm currently working on a few pop and hip-hop tracks for clients.

  8. A: I mainly go with digital but I have a few analog gear that I love to use to get specific sound and or color.

  10. A: I will always ensure my client is 100% satisfied, no matter how much time or revisions it takes.

  12. A: Collaborating with different people.

  14. A: Usually delivery time. My answer is, it depends but mainly I take from 3-5 days depending on how much the client wants.

  16. A: That the client cant be involved in the production aspect

  18. A: What their vision of the project is, what vibe they would like the project on, references, and when they need the project to be finished.

  19. Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?

  20. A: Embrace your authenticity and create music that genuinely resonates with you. Avoid attempting to mimic others; your unique sound will be recognized and valued by listeners.

  21. Q: If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?

  22. A: Computer, Headphones, Apollo interface, monitors and a microphone.

  23. Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?

  24. A: Started out as a Dj, did that for about 4 years until I started producing for artists and collaborating with other producers. I have now 7+ years of experience working in studios with different clients from all around the world.

  26. A: Hip-hop and trap influenced by Latin melodies and rhythms.

  27. Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?

  28. A: I Would love to work with Drake. Not only his flow and lyrics are awesome just his style of work is very genius too and how he likes to get involved in the production is also very cool.

  30. A: Keep it simple but interesting.

  31. Q: What type of music do you usually work on?

  32. A: Hip hop, Trap, Rnb, Afro, Pop, Rock and reggaeton

  33. Q: What's your strongest skill?

  34. A: Music production and drum rhythms.

  35. Q: What do you bring to a song?

  36. A: My intuition and ability to discern what I believe will be most effective for the song, coupled with a steadfast commitment to continuously listen and uphold the artist's vision as the foremost priority in the project.

  37. Q: What's your typical work process?

  38. A: Chat about what the client needs and wants. I would then ask for a couple of reference tracks just to understand the vibe that the clients want. Finally, I would start off by sending a few production ideas and from then I would start to officially produce the track.

  40. A: Yamaha monitors with apollo interface, Korg minilouge, and a Roland tR8.

  42. A: Metro booming, Mike Dean, Benny Blanco, Travis scott, Pierre bourne, Calvin harris, ovy on the drums and Rude boys
