Q: What's your strongest skill?
A: Low End, the greatest strength of my work would be the Low End. It is about giving life to a range of frequencies that is necessary for the energy of the track.
Q: What do you bring to a song?
A: I contribute with something unique, a touch of something different, I do not seek to follow schemes and create songs that sound the same as others, I contribute a sound, a color, a distinctive character that represents me as an engineer and that represents what the artist seeks to convey with his project. I believe that when a job is in my hands, I bring the dedication that must be given to a project so that it breaks the mold.
Q: What's your typical work process?
A: I usually talk to the artist so that he can explain his ideas and give me references, after this, I listen to the project and give my point of view, ideas and resources so that it is something unique and personalized for each musician, after all this I try different resources and forms until getting a balance is found between references and innovation. Finally, when I find the sound we are looking for, I proceed to follow the path we have imagined to bring the mix and master of the song to reality.
Q: Tell us about your studio setup.
A: I vary between working in studios with analog equipment such as the Solid State Logic 4000Gplus, with a variety of resources such as Focusrite compressors and preamps, Lexicons, Manley Voxbox, etc. And apart from that i also work mixing in the box with Daws as Pro tools mostly.
Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?
A: I've always been amazed by the way people like Jaycen Joshua, Mike Bozzi, Chris Lord-Alge, Spike Stent have created their own sound, and I'm not looking for inspiration from their sound, I'm looking for inspiration from their mentality of looking for a unique and different sound.
Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.
A: The most common work i do is Mixing and Mastering songs, however sometimes i´ve worked as beatmaker and recording engineer, but I specialize in being a mixing and master engineer.
