Mixing and Mastering since 1995 I have had the opportunity to work with many top artist in CCM, Country, Bluegrass, Rock, and Southern Gospel. I would be honored to help you get the sound you are looking for on your next musical release.

I currently Use ProTools, Logic and Luna so that sending tracks can be as easy as sending one file. I mix in the box with many of the top plugs in from manufacturers such as Universal Audio, Waves, Isotope and many others. Lets talk about what you are looking for and go from there.

  1. Q: Tell us about a project you worked on you are especially proud of and why. What was your role?

  2. A: A contemporary Christian rock group Called PLOW. I have the opportunity to not only mix and master but was able to do everything from producing and tracking and forward.

  3. Q: What are you working on at the moment?

  4. A: Varies tracks from friends

  5. Q: Is there anyone on SoundBetter you know and would recommend to your clients?

  6. A: I am new here so not yet

  7. Q: Analog or digital and why?

  8. A: I love both.

  9. Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?

  10. A: You will be happy with your mix or you will get a refund

  11. Q: What do you like most about your job?

  12. A: Getting to hear great music before most people

  13. Q: What questions do customers most commonly ask you? What's your answer?

  14. A: How much do you charge. This answer can vary based on many factors such as how large of a project and if I really like your music.

  15. Q: What's the biggest misconception about what you do?

  16. A: That its easy

  17. Q: What questions do you ask prospective clients?

  18. A: What are some artist that you like the sound of? Where do you plan to release your music. Do you need help with Producing or adding additional instruments. What is your time frame.

  19. Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?

  20. A: Let the mix engineer know where you want your sound to go and any other artist that you like the sound of their recordings. Make sure to listen to examples of their work and be patient for email responses. Sometime we get really busy and may take a few hours to get back to you.

  21. Q: If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?

  22. A: Solar Charging station, Cell Phone, Music Library, my Ollo Headphone, and plenty of music apps

  23. Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?

  24. A: I started as a DJ at the age of 15 and then Studio at 21. I spent from 21 to around 33 either producing, mixing or Mastering. Even built a few commercial studios around the country. Took a few years off to build Drums and now at 49 I am back to what I really love and that is Mixing music.

  25. Q: How would you describe your style?

  26. A: A little hyped yet warm.

  27. Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?

  28. A: Jelly Roll. I just think he is a good dude.

  29. Q: Can you share one music production tip?

  30. A: Get the best sound possible at the source. It will always make your mixes turn out better.

  31. Q: What type of music do you usually work on?

  32. A: I tend to work on Country and Rock more than anything but have done a great deal of Southern Gospel and Blue Grass over the years. Very little Hip Hop and R&B but I have done some that sounded great

  33. Q: What's your strongest skill?

  34. A: Customer Service

  35. Q: What do you bring to a song?

  36. A: Clarity and balance.

  37. Q: What's your typical work process?

  38. A: I start with arranging the mix and then editing. Take a day away from the mix and come back to complete the job a few days later. I export any file type you may need for your release. I am also just now starting Atmos Mixing

  39. Q: Tell us about your studio setup.

  40. A: At the moment I am all in the box using ProTools and Logic. I have many of the top plug ins from UAD, Waves, Slate, and Antares to name a few. once my new room is set up I will we incorporating more analog gear such as EQ, Pre Amps and Reverbs

  41. Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?

  42. A: I love all music. Ive been a Drummer since the age of 3 and just fell in love with the recording process

  43. Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.

  44. A: I currently am just mixing and mastering until the new studio is setup
