Interview with Pascal Natter
Q: Analog or digital and why?
A: Digital beacause of the space consumption and the price, though the digital versions can be inferior to the analog version.
Q: What questions do you ask prospective clients?
A: The process: The client gives me the idea of the product, after which we will discuss the offer. Then I will provide a rough sketch to get the client's approval, only then will I finalize it.
Q: Can you share one music production tip?
A: While making beats, don't overcomplicate anything. This third melody you want to add? Maybe think twice about adding it!
Q: What type of music do you usually work on?
A: My music ranges from RnB to Trap to Boombap and Pop, nevertheless I am always open to try new genres.
Q: What's your strongest skill?
A: I am a very fast learner with which I have no problem adapting to clients' wishes and needs.
Q: What do you bring to a song?
A: I am versatile genre-wise and always eager to learn, though electronic music is not my forté.
Q: What's your typical work process?
A: First I get your idea of the product. Then I do a rough sketch and get your approval and lastly I finalize it.
Q: Tell us about your studio setup.
A: It's a home studio with a microphone, an interface, a keyboard and a laptop.
Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?
A: Cro has had a big impact in my music taste, but production-wise I would say that Producers like Kenny Beats or KazOnDaBeat give me inspiration.
Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.
A: My services include Production/Beat-making, Live instrumentation on the guitar (acoustic, electric) and Vocal support (mostly background vocals or similar).
