Endorse Tony CalabroTony is a genius. He can take a song and make it more than you ever thought it could be. I have recorded many, many songs with him, both remotely and in-person, and he never fails to make them them wonderful. No less significant, he makes the whole process truly fun. He is a masterful musician and a joy to work with. I cannot recommend Tony highly enough.
Tony’s playing was amazing on my last recording. Besides his playing being spot on, his parts and orchestration really added to the vibe of the song. In addition, his guitar tones were exactly what I was looking for.
I cannot speak highly enough about Tony Calabro. I have worked on multiple albums and countless songs with him, both in person and remotely. In every instance, he embraces the song and makes it far better than it ever could have been without him. He is creative and innovative, while always remaining true to whatever concept I may have had for the song - except on those occasions when he says, "Why don't we try this?" and takes the concept to a whole new level. Tony is a virtuoso guitar and bass player (not to mention drums, keys and just about everything else). Plus, he is a joy to work with.
I've worked with Tony over the last couple of years - my first (prog rock) album was released last year, and the experience was so good that we now have an EP in the works.
Tony is an amazing guitarist who can play in many different styles to fit the mood of the music, including rock, jazz, classical and ambient. He is very quick to pick things up, and often doesn't even need chord charts. Tony is full of good ideas, and many of them ended up on my record.
I highly recommend Tony if you're looking for someone who is easy to work with and who can take your music to the next level.
I've done three EPs with Tony over the last few years, and every time has been a spectacular experience. I'd bring in my basic acoustic guitar and vocals idea, and somehow, Tony would take it and convert it into a full fledged production.
Whatever the song needed...electric guitar, acoustic, piano, drums, fast licks or slow acoustic...he did it. Whatever the style was, he molded to it. The guy is incredible at what he does and versatile as could be. A true professional. Use him and you won't be disappointed.
I recently finished an album with Tony, and he was amazing to work with and a wonderful musical partner. On guitar and bass, if I had an idea of what I wanted, he quickly understood and either pulled it off perfectly or (actually most of the time) made it much better. Other times, he thought of touches or bass lines or guitar leads that would never have occurred to me, yet they fit with my style and the type of song. Last point is his versatility. My album is quite eclectic. Tony went from country to pop-punk to arena rock, and you'd swear each was his forte. Highly recommend working with him.
I've worked with Tony on an EP and an album and he can really do anything. Aside from having come from a super fancy music school and being a virtuoso (which many people are), he really strives to "get" the feeling and the intention of the song, and put it into his guitar work. I honestly can't say enough good things about Tony. A true pro and an artist. Plus, he's super cool and nice!
