I am a London based professional session guitarist, where I have a full studio setup that I use on recordings, and practicing for tours and gigs with artists such as Amma and DC3. I graduated from the Liverpool Institute for Performing Arts, majoring in songwriting and performance and have the skillset to adapt to a vast array of genres needed.
Hey! I'm Jay, and I'm ready to record all the guitars you are looking for on your track. I am a working professional playing all genres of music, from pop-rock, indie to RnB/soul and I will tailor-make a guitar part that will perfectly complement your song.
Using a vast array of professional equipment, including a collection of high-end guitars, pedals, and amplifiers, I will create the ideal guitar tones for your track. I record all my electric guitar parts using either a Fender Twin Reverb or a range of amp simulations achieve a diverse range of sounds fit for any genre.
For acoustic guitar recordings, I use an Atkin E-OOO which is a mid-sized acoustic guitar with a warm low end and a high-end sparkle, perfect for all genres from country to singer-songwriter and pop.

Interview with Jay Spicer
Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?
A: This has been the dream since I started playing guitar age 5, I have always had the passion and drive for music. I studied it full time at college and university before moving to London and doing it professionally.
Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.
A: I am normally doing constant work around London and the UK. This has been doing studio and home recordings, as well as gigs and tours with various different artists.
Q: Tell us about your studio setup.
A: I am running all my guitars through my pedalboard. The board notably has a vertex steel string and a neural dsp quad cortex. The quad has countless presets covering all amps and pedals that could be covered for recordings. This is then run through an Audient iD14 audio interface to Logic Pro, where I do the recording and editing.
