  2. A: When I worked with Alphaville back in 2007. I was invited over to Berlin to help them with some production on the then-current album. It was an amazing experience. Working with such legends. Being part of the process, showing them new sounds, and modern production techniques. And local beers. Great people. Would do it again in a heartbeat.

  3. Q: What are you working on at the moment?

  4. A: Mixing.

  5. Q: Analog or digital and why?

  6. A: Both. Whatever gets the result you are looking for.

  7. Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?

  13. Q: What questions do you ask prospective clients?

  14. A: What their deadline is, what they are looking for, and any reference tracks they may have to give me an idea of the overall feel of what the goal is.

  15. Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?

  16. A: Just reach out. Ask any questions.

  17. Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?

  23. Q: Can you share one music production tip?

  24. A: Learn as much as you can. Then forget it all. Music has no rules. Yet the knowledge will come in handy when needed. Don't be afraid to break the "rules".

  30. A: Attitude and grit. Detail. Depth and fullness. In other terms, balls. But also gentle and sweet, when needed.

  31. Q: What's your typical work process?

  32. A: I first figure out the nature of the music/sound. And what kind of emotions I can emphasize. I then drop the stems/sounds into Cubase and balance them while listening to get a feel for it. Then I set up instrument groups. Checking for phase issues and unnecessary low-end in instruments not needing it. And keep an open level of communication with the client to make sure their vision is met.
