First-Class Creative Music Technology graduate and sound engineer with a love for making tracks sound clean, punchy and polished. Multi-instrumentalist, experienced production manager, and always chasing that "just one more tweak" moment.
I'm obsessed with sound, in all its weird and wonderful forms.
As a Grade 8 vocalist with Distinction and a multi-instrumentalist who plays guitar, bass, drums, piano and clarinet, I understand instruments from both sides of the mixing desk. This gives me a strong instinct for how instruments should feel as well as sound, helping me make informed mixing decisions.
I enjoy working across different creative industries, from collaborating with artists and shaping live performances to exploring sound design, Foley and audio for film and games.
I personally believe a sound desk is just as much of an instrument as the ones I mix, and can be used to creatively enhance a track to infinity and beyond.

Interview with Joel Awad
Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.
A: I usually work across both studio and live sound, mixing and mastering a wide range of musical genres for artists. I also work as a Production Manager, overseeing four technical departments, coordinating teams, setting up equipment and engineering sound for large live events. This gives me experience managing the bigger picture while still being hands-on with the audio.
