MIX & FOH engineer with newly build studio looking for new projects. I have 15+ years experience.
I am a Danish mix engineer that recently relocated to Houston Texas. I have spend most of my life either on the road or in a studio. My past credits include studio engineer / mixer or live sound engineer. I have worked with some of the artist's in either capacity: MØ, Kimbra , Rumor Said Fire, CHINAH, Nabiha, Kissaway Trail, Palace Winter, Slaughter Beach, Darkness Falls, Mont Oliver, Chris Minh Doky & Dave Weckl, Wangel, Blondage, Waldo & Marsha. Other things about me: I just sailed from Cape Cod to the Bahamas, musical taste ranges from metal to jazz (I listen to it all). I play bass, I like touring, my wife is a former A&R, I want to master baking bread.

Q: What questions do you ask prospective clients?
A: What is the plan for the music. How are you releasing it?
Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?
A: Make sure you have taken all the decisions about production of the song. The mix is the second to last step and the song should be what the song is at this stage.
Q: If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?
A: There is no such thing as the perfect gear. It all depends on what the tracks sound like and what type music im working with. I would honestly be fine with a laptop and a pair of headphones. Worked fine when i was living on a boat.
Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?
A: I started as a intern / assistent in studios at the age of 14 years. Worked at 3 different studios and started doing live sound in my early 20's. Toured the world for about 8 years with different pop artists. Bought a boat doing the pandemic and sailed it to The Bahamas. Sold the boat and build a new studio. All in all, i have been working as a sound engineer for more than 15 years now.
Q: How would you describe your style?
A: Indie rock / pop / alternative
Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?
A: The National , would be my dream job. Getting a chance to mix those drums would be incredible.
Q: Can you share one music production tip?
A: Less is more. Dont overthink , i have seen many songs get killed by over-producing or wanting to try to many different directions.
Q: What type of music do you usually work on?
A: Indie rock , Indie pop , alternative pop , Alternative rock. Sing & Song writing.
Q: What's your strongest skill?
A: I enjoy working with live drums and consider mixing drums one of my skills.
Q: What do you bring to a song?
A: I have a good sense of emotions. I listen and feel. My goal is always to enhance the feelings the song bring.
Q: What's your typical work process?
A: Listen to the bands rough mix once, then set up the session, and start mixing. I like to catch my immediate thoughts and ideas from first listen of the rough.
Q: Tell us about your studio setup.
A: I run a simple but bulletproof setup with a really good sounding room and a pair of ATC SCM25's. My desktop is low so i dont get any reflexions. I sum my mixes through a dangerous music 2-bus+ to a Burl B2 Bomber Converter and back in the box.
Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?
A: I find almost everything inspiring. Sure there are some stuff that are more inspiring than others, but everything has something. You just have to find it.
Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.
A: Mixing songs. Help elevate the expressions in the songs.
